Description
Anders the Assassin
An assassin and a fixer, Anders was looking forward to a peaceful retirement. He shouldn’t have rescued four young girls from the sex trade. Now he is honor bound to protect them and keep them safe. The drug cartel, jihadists, and his government seem determined to keep that from happening.
If Anders can’t stay one step ahead of his enemies, he’ll doom the girls to a horrific life as sex slaves, and himself to an early grave…

"4.0 out of 5 stars A Fun Florida Caper...

A fun Florida caper which I would call a light read if it weren't for the gruesome shootout scenes and the high body count. This book,, because of its zaniness and Floridian locale, reminded me of Carl Hiassen or Heather Wilde. My favorite character by far was Esse whose wild temper and unpredictability made her both endearing and fascinating. She's as equally liable to slap you as she would be to throw her arms around your neck and smother you with kisses. I almost wish there was more of her. Anders makes for a good protagonist since he's more even keeled and trained at what he's doing. He also has a bigger heart than he lets on, which lets the reader root for him despite the casualness with which he kills.
My only qualm with the book is the swiftness with which certain, action-packed scenes are handled. If you like poetic descriptions of scenery, you won't find any here. In many instances, the author gives what happened and little else.
I might've given this 5 stars but there are simply far too many grammar errors and typos. There are countless run-on sentences and the narrative tense can change from past to present and back again for no discernible reason.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Quicky Thriller Adventure
Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2021
From Florida to Panama, centered on a backdrop of crocks and snakes and ruthless bandits, the protagonist is on a mission to save desperate young women from enslavement in a sex trade. Murder, mayhem and plenty of gore are served up as the main dish of blood lust. The MC, Anders, hooks up with an unlikely partner in a love-hate relationship in their mission to secure the safety of victimized and dehumanized women. The protagonist acquires blemishes of an anti-hero as he is ridden with a few unseemly scars and warts and bad dude traits of his own. Psychologically traumatized (if not damaged) from the discovery of the massacre of his own family, he goes on a rampage as an assassin where his own government and peers are fearful of him. “So half out of pity, they reassigned him to the swamp. Keep him away from us. Let him work out his time until his retirement.” The author provides effective settings, dramatic scenes, and good character development, especially through the sexual tension exhibited by the main characters. As a quicky thrill ride through the Florida bayou and Panama jungles, the story is enticing, though not always smooth sailing in terms of grammatic finesse. Other than that, I think the book is worth checking out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun thriller

When there's good dialogue, characters, and plot, there's fun thriller action. I always like action and for some reason I'm drawn to assassin/fixer stories. This is a good one and comes recommend to others who share my taste."
