Description
Optimise your success, performance, productivity and wellbeing to lead your best business-life.
Entrepreneurs, business leaders and execs do not deliberately set out to over-work, feel miserable, become stressed by their success, think badly of themselves or damage their health and relationships. However, these are the people Estelle Read has been working with in her coaching practice for the last 15 years, and the issues are on the rise.
A Note From the Publisher
She has been running her own executive coaching and training consultancy business, Beee, since 2005, and works with a variety of clients ranging from PLC's through to small local companies; the common denominator being that they are all looking to grow performance in some way.
She also understands imposter syndrome, over-working, stress, anxiety and burnout, (these are topics covered in her book), from a personal perspective. She damaged her health and thought she was invincible, ignoring all physical and mental signs, which ultimately resulted in a supposedly life-long illness called myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME). She felt like a failure.
At the peak of her illness, she couldn’t walk across the road, lift her daughter from her car seat or carry out everyday tasks such as making the bed. She was a mess. She had a history of panic attacks, which meant she couldn’t do exciting things and live life to the full.
She didn’t realise that she was stressed, because she was perpetually stressed. She had no reference point for peace and tranquillity, and it was a complete novelty when she first experienced this. She was used to working with tension. She was afraid to be herself. She wasn’t enjoying life. Her shine was dulled.
She had shed loads of personal baggage, which she offloaded using the techniques in Inner Brilliance Outer Shine, challenged her thinking, changed the way in which she used her body and became more personally effective. She stopped taking nonsense from others and became disciplined at managing her boundaries. She toughened up and stopped being so over-responsible for everyone and everything. With the help of the tools which she shares in Inner Brilliance Outer Shine, she recovered. She is now leading her best ever work-life.
Now she's made it her mission to do the same for her clients and readers – to bring out their brilliance, because we all have the potential within us.
