Description
Art. Nature. Films. News headlines. Her life and her loved ones’ lives.
Everything around Amy Clennell inspires her to write. Renaissance shows the breadth of her creativity, with 36 poems that cover these topics and more. But writing is more than just an artistic venture for her—she has found that crafting her poems provides solace in her own life, too.
Amy says, “My condition, cerebral palsy, leaves me with some obvious and some hidden disabilities. At times, such difficulties lead to conflict, frustration and insecurity. I have found a refuge in writing. For me, setting words on paper is also a healing and motivating process.”

Marketing Plan
Amy Clennell has cerebral palsy, and she is partially sighted. Yet she continues to write both short stories and poems, the latter of which are featured in Renaissance.
• Her poems are inspired by her personal life and lives of her loved ones, as well as by nature, works of art, films, ballets and even news headlines.
• Two poems in this book have already won accolades. "Sacrifice" and "Sunflower Seeds of Hope" won judges' choice honours in the Coventry Positive Images Peace Festival poetry competition.
• Clennell has already self-published a book in 2014 called Mystical Tales of Unitalia, a re-telling of the classic fairytale Cinderella: https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/local-news/blind-rugby- woman-first-book-9973649
