Description

Juanita is beautiful and brilliant. She carries the hopes of her family, her neighbors in the village and the local priest as she takes up scholarship studies at the University of Guanajuato. There she is charmed by the sophisticated Geraldo who invites her to meet his family in Tenancingo, where to her horror, she is enslaved and sold into prostitution. Government Agencies, NGO’s, the Church, her family, and even former victims on both sides of the border between the USA and Mexico are involved in the search for Juanita. Selfless, dedicated and passionate in their purpose, they are beacons along Juanita’s dangerous and painful path. Is there hope for victims like Juanita even if rescued?

The Road from Tenancingo is emotional and educational journey from about two hours southeast from Mexico City! Tenancingo is a true company town. There is only one business--sex trafficking. Everything revolves around this cartel protected business. Our story revolves around 17 year old college student, Juanita Montero. One of our heroes is Lien (introduced in R. Bruce Logan's first book in this important series), experienced as a sex trafficking victim as a very young girl in Vietnam.
This is an important book with an extremely sensitive issue discussed from a point of view of experience.
I highly recommend this outstanding book!

This book was sent to me electronically for review by Netgalley…intrigue and mystery…true to life…sadness and grief…helping others…this is a difficult book to read, but the author has written a story that is so enthralling that it is difficult to put down…yet difficult to read also.
