Absolutely loved this book.
We homeschool, my kids are elementary /primary age and this book makes a great addition to our science library.
It incorporates busy activites with learning. The equipment needed is what most of us have in our cupboards.
Great pictures and words. Highly recommend.
I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
Human body Learning Lab is a great book to share with children to learn about the human body. This book is jam packed full of interesting information, facts and fun experiments to carry out. I loved the diversity of this book and found it covered all bodily parts and functions in a fun and interesting way. Children love learning about how their body works and this book certainly won't disappoint. I can't wait to try out all the experiments in this book nor only with my class bit with my own child too. Science is such a fun topic in school and this is a great, interesting book to get children interested and aware of their body and how unique and important it is.
Definitely a book to get for a classroom or even at home for fun!
#nonfictionnovember - and we are putting a spotlight on the Human Body Learning Lab. This book is a great tool for learning, activities and and fun. The book teaches about all the systems of the body, giving lots of detail and full of excellent illustrations. It also has lots of activities inside, detailed with how to do them, and how they either show you how the system works, how to test it or fun ways to see the system work. The activities are easy to do and often use only household items, making them easy to put together after school or on short notice. Honestly, we absolutely love this book and adore the science information it shares.
A great introduction to the human body for elementary age children. There is some advanced information included (eg cell structure with ER and microtubules) but also with alot of interesting hands-on activities that I can imagine the younger siblings would join in too! My favourite part is the "Checkup with Dr Choi" feature where Dr Choi tells the readers how to take care of their bodies. Dr Choi, being a PD, has also included sections on common issues like Asthma, Myopia, Bone Fractures that would help answer children's questions about their health. Would definitely get a hard copy for my homeschool library so that my children get to browse through the many great illustrations and diagrams!
I have received an advance electronic copy from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
