Fiona, Love at the Zoo

Fiona’s book about love at the zoo is fantastic. I loved the rhyming prose and think my first graders would love using this book to studying rhyme. I think it’s a wonderful book when rhythms like Boynton to introduce children from a very young age to the animals they can see at the zoo. Highly recommend!

The beautifully detailed and colorful illustrations and rhyming text tell a sweet story about how animals at the zoo show affection for one another.

The real life Fiona is a well known hippo from the Cincinnati Zoo, but you don’t need to visit the zoo to fall in love with the Fiona books (although it might give you a great reason to take a trip there!)

Fiona, Love at the Zoo would make the perfect baby shower or Valentines Day gift. There is even space at the beginning of the book to write a special message to dedicate the book (This book is for: With Lots of Love From: On this date:)

This is a beautiful book about love and all the different ways you can show someone how you love them.

Our household loves Fiona and we also love the zoo so this was a great combo! The story was fun and the illustrations beautiful. My son loved it and told me to give it 5 stars!

This is a delightful addition to the Fiona series, which my daughter absolutely adores! It would be a great book for Valentine's Day with the book focusing on the idea of love. The illustrations are beautiful and help to highlight the different kinds of animal you might see at the zoo. It would be a great addition to any child's library.

Richard Cowdrey never fails in delivering a delightful children's book featuring our favorite hippo, Fiona. Beautifully illustrated and full of an array of animal friends at the zoo, this next installment with Fiona is a must have for children.

This adorable story follows different animal friends & family in the zoo as Fiona observes them connecting with each other. I was most taken in by the illustrations, which are bright, beautiful, and realistic. The poetry alongside it will warm any little heart who loves to look and talk about animals at the zoo.

Another great Fiona book! My daughter loves these books, and this one was no exception. Such a sweet story, full of wonderful illustrations.

A sweet book full of adorable animals showing affection for one another. Perfect for valentines day or really any day of the year!

This book was simple, cute and perfect. It highlighted how diverse love can be and how families may look different and have differing ways of showing love to each other. I think this concept is so important in our current world. The artwork was by far my favorite part of this book. It was incredible.

In honor, of Fiona’s new brother- I am posting early!!!! Yay, another baby hippo!! We are so excited and Ollie can’t wait to visit him! 🥰🥰

I requested this book so fast!! We are from Cincinnati and Fiona is so special to us. How cool is it to go to the zoo and see her in real life, all the time?! We own all the books but I was really excited to get an arc of this one.

Like all the Fiona books, this one is so sweet and special. Love at the zoo, is always something you see with the animals. I loved the beautiful illustrations and so did Oliver! He loves the zoo and seeing that it was Fiona had him really excited. It’s such a sweet book and perfect for Valentine’s Day! He kept “aww-ing” throughout this book. For us this was a hit from the beginning but I think your kids would love it without knowing who Fiona is. It’s about animals at the zoo and love, what could be better?! There’s also some rhyming in here, which I appreciated.

I highly recommend this one if you are from the area or love Fiona! Even if you don’t… I think your kids will still enjoy it!
