Description
Aditi the cat is loved by her little girl, but her owner is heartbroken when she disappears! Will she be found? This beautifully illustrated rhyming story will be loved by children and parents alike.
I love my cat
That shiny black fur
That tiny white ring
that goes right round the tip of her tail
I think it means she might be magic!
A little girl loves her cat, from the tip of her tail to the way she opens doors and even has taught herself to drink from the tap!
But one day, the cat tries to nibble at her toast and she won't stop, and then she digs her claws in, and then they both fall over… and the little girl shouts, 'Out!'
She is heartbroken when the cat doesn't come home for dinner. But after a week of the cat being missing, finally she returns.
This beautifully illustrated title has lyrical rhyming text from award-winning children's poet and author Simon Mole which will brings the narrative to life.
This is the follow-up to I Love My Bike and is the second in a picture-book series based on first experiences and the magic in the everyday.

Review to come to blog/Goodreads on 21st June.
I received this book from Netgalley/the publisher in exchange of an honest review.
I am still very allergic to cats, so when I can get to read books like this about cats and people loving them? I am in! This book sounded adorable and I just had to have it. I want to know if they find the little cat again~
In this book we meet a girl who absolutely LOVES her cat and tells us the many ways her cat is amazing. All the cute nicknames she has for her (Addie-Addie-Adster, Ada-saurus Rex to name a few). How the cat loves to sleep, curled up in a basket of laundry. But how she is also super active and likes "helping out" and giving "presents". It was really sweet and I love how the whole family loved the cat (though sometimes got a tad frustrated with her when she was doing some very cat-like things XD. The first part of the book is all about how the cat is with the family. How they love her. But then in the second part of the book something happens and Aditi disappears! Boom! One moment the cat is always there, stealing your sandwich and whatnot, and the next she has disappeared. And I was superworried, and with each page being filled with worry and wondering what was going on. Making posters. Searching for her left and right. I was so worried they wouldn't find her. Yes, it is a children's book, so I knew there probably would be a good ending.. but still, worried!
I loved that the dad tried to console his daughter and that she let her imagination roam for a bit. I loved seeing that Egypt scene. Haha, I am sure cats would love being in Egypt, or well, at least the olden Egypt.
The ending was wonderful and I was so relieved and happy. For this time I don't mind it that children's book often end on a good note.
The art was really pretty, I love the style. Then again, it is Sam Usher and I just LOVE LOVE his art. Got several of his book at home and still looking to add more to my collection.
All in all, this was an adorable and sweet book that had me worried for a bit and going aww for the other. I would recommend it to all.
A delightful and lyrical tale about a girl and her cat.
Beautiful illustrations, Rhyme and Suspense. It has all the elements of a great picture book.
Perfect for toddlers and grade-school kids.
This is lovely story about her and her cat. Explaining what cats are like and what they do and lives you wounding if Carly will come back. The illustrations are really good. I think children with live this story especially if they like cats.
Thank you NetGalley for letting me read this book
