This is the sweetest little book if you love your flock of chickens. Good for first timers or seasoned owners. I’d best describe it as a baby book for chickens. There are spots for photos and fill in areas to record everything about them and their life with you. The illustrations and art are really cute. It’s a great keepsake for yourself or as a gift for another chicken lover.
Fillable Photo Album. I recently entered the world of backyard chickens. I have enjoyed watching them grow from chicks through the awkward "teen" phase and start laying eggs. But what has been even more enjoyable is seeing my two sons interact with the chickens. This album would be a great keepsake album for anyone with chickens. Like any baby album, certain pages are not for everyone but the overall album is still treasured. I enjoyed the tidbits spread throughout (affectionately referred to as chicken nuggets) and learned a few things myself. The album goes from deciding to start a flock, raising chicks, getting the flock from the brooder to the coop, egg laying, and later years. It includes a page to attach feathers, checklists, and a mix of pages with prompts and pages open for snapshots. Lots of fun and a good place to keep the chicken photos that don't quite make sense in the family album.
So cute ! I just brought home 3 week old chicks and this is absolutely something I would keep track of them with. I love the pictures and illustrations , and it has a section for everything . I would have loved for there to be more “chicken nuggets” throughout.
This is the perfect chicken keeper book. Very thorough and just fun. The Chicken Nuggets were full of fun trivia and the recipes were a nice touch. Included are questions and charts for all ages of chickens. Helpful hints on chicken life included like how to add protein during molting. Great memory keeper and important chicken information holder
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and author for providing this ebook for my honest review. This is such a cute way to remember all the fun details around owning a flock of chickens. This is a memory book with plenty of space to answer questions, add your own pictures, and jot down memories throughout the life span of these majestic creatures. This book also includes helpful information for people new to chickens as well as fun activities and recipes to try. I would absolutely get this book for anyone who is starting a flock and for those who already have one. I can’t wait to get a physical copy for myself. Thank you again to NetGalley, the publisher, and author for this wonderful keepsake.
An essential “baby book” for chicken enthusiasts to fully document the planning and adventures of welcoming a new flock to their home or small farm. From early stages of development, to many years beyond, there are useful charts, facts, and plenty of spaces for journaling—all accented with cozy graphics and borders. Caughey knew exactly what budding poultry growers would seek to craft an adorable, legacy keepsake
