Three Albert terrace by M.S. Clary.
Hanna a small town estate agent is faced with a moral dilemma.
Really enjoyable read. Loved Hanna. Read in one sitting. 5*.
Real estate agent Hanna volunteers to do a favor for her flighty friend Adele. All she has to do is say she had a showing at Three Albert Place, a showing Adele missed. It sounds easy. It’s not. You see, a woman’s body is found in a bedroom in the condo Hanna was supposedly showing. That would have been hard to miss, if she had been there. When the police question her, Hanna begins a series of lies that will lead her into a convoluted mystery, threaten her job and almost cost her her life.
I would have liked Three Albert Place more if Hanna herself had been more likable. Her lies were unnecessary and fairly obvious. She couldn’t remember how many times she had a showing at that address? Check your appointment diary. You can’t find it? Then you drop it in water and hide it in the oven? Really? And then there’s a totally unnecessary subplot about stalking a former boyfriend? And when that boyfriend’s thirteen year old daughter, who never liked Hanna, gets pregnant, who does she go to for advice? And what’s with the boyfriend who works in Saudi Arabia?
The premise of Three Albert Place is a strong one. The book would benefit from better editing with tighter characterization, work to make Hanna appear to be more a victim of a friend’s bad judgement and therefore more appealing and removing the distracting subplots. The police investigator would be a better love interest than any of the other random men. I did like the upstairs neighbor. 3 stars.
Thank you to NetGalley, Matador and M.S. Clary for this ARC.
This was a tough read. It was slow with a lot of tangents and things that had nothing to do with the main plot. The characters were annoying and acting in questionable ways that just didn't add up. This story has great potential but it needs a lot of help.
Wow! This book was absolutely thrilling! I’m not gonna be able to get this one out of my head for a while.
I really enjoyed this book, it was well written with an absolutely gripping storyline and well developed characters - a lot of whom were unlikeable but I think that added extra tension to the plot. The twists left me guessing all the way through, I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. A great read that I will be recommending to all my thriller lover friends,
A Perplexing Dilemma…
An estate agent is faced head on with a perplexing dilemma and caught in her own web of lies in this intriguing suspense. As the heat rises, the lies deepen and the web closes in. Well woven with a nicely crafted cast of characters and an intriguing storyline which leads the reader to a, perhaps, wholly unexpected denouement.
The blurb reads

This sounded right up my street and I was super excited to start reading this from Netgalley. We meet characters Hanna and Adele. For me personally, they were not the characters that I could relate to in any way or form and I found Adele to be slightly irritating.
Hanna is an estate agent and her colleague/friend, Adele, asks her to tell a lie and this small, seemingly white lie turns itself into a big problem as there is a body found in the house that Hanna said she had a viewing at "Three Albert Terrace". Hanna is thrust into a world of deceit, lies and mystery and we follow Hanna on her journey.
A good read, characters a bit blah but altogether a good premise of a book.
Thanks to NetGalley, M.S.Clary and the publishers for allowing me a copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.
This was a new author for me . I never read anything from this author before but for the most part I really liked this book. I thought the whole story was amazing. I honestly didn’t want this book to end. I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with on the next book they write. I usually judge a book from the cover because for me it shows if it’s going to be interesting or not and I loved the book
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Where is Adele?!?
Hanna is a real estate agent who can’t get ahold of her friend and coworker Adele, but a body was found in a property that Hanna saw Adele entering multiple times with “a man”. Is Adele dead?? Or did Adele kill the man? Who is the body?? Then we get a letter from Adele so she must be okay! Or is she?? Whatever is going on, it’s very clear that Hanna is hiding SOMEthing.
Just when I thought I knew exactly where this story was going, it completely flipped on me!
This book was a quick easy read with SHORT CHAPTERS 💕💕 I absolutely love short chapters!
Overall a very enjoyable, light mystery read.
Thank you so much to Netgalley and Metador for my ARC in exchange for my honest review 💕

This is a brilliant read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great suspense and found myself second guessing every thought I had continuously.
Can't wait to read what the author brings out next.
Recommend reading.
I was provided an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher. This is my own honest voluntary review.
I actually really enjoyed trying to plot everything together in this book and to try and discover what had happened in three Albert terrace. I also think that the author did a great job convincing us to feel for a character who people wouldnt always immediately gel with. I think it was written well and I look forward to reading more from this author in future.
An unusual story. I was most surprised to find myself sympathising with an estate agent! A dead body in an empty house is sure to affect sales!!!
Three Albert Terrace is well-plotted and the storyline had me engaged from the start. Hanna is an estate agent. She finds herself in a dilemma one day and decides to lie to protect her friend and colleague, Adele Stevens who is struggling. I found the well-fleshed-out characters believable. The ending might surprise you as it did me.
I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Matador via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.
The plot was ingenious and I really like the characters as well. If you’re looking for a fast pace story that you can get swept into fairly quickly this is the book for you.
