Description
Descent is the first book from R.A. Howes' Tide of the Stars universe. An intergalactic cyberpunk style universe where the dominate powers are worse than those they brand as criminals. Based in the sector of space known as The Rim, Descent follows Eric Hillar, a man with a price on his head and no one to turn too. Recruited into a space pirate crew, Eric needs to decide if he will keep running, or if he will stop long enough to find a place to belong, even if it is amongst killers.

I really enjoyed this Sci-fi space pirate/ heist story. Fast paced with lots of humour. The writing style is smoothly concise but well developed. R A Howes, the author, has a nice timbre, perfect for the narration of the book . This is a complete story but looks like this is going to be the start of a well written entertaining series. Thanks to Vengence Publishing and NetGalley for the audio ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given
