Compelling, Disturbing Account…
Compelling and disturbing true crime account of one of Scandinavia’s most infamous cases and most notorious criminal trials. The story of a well respected and seemingly hard working Danish nurse - Christina Aistrup Hansen - eventually convicted of killing her patients. A nurse who, to this day, still protests her innocence. Drawing on a veritable wealth of information across the board including Hansen herself and in true journalistic fashion the author presents both sides of the coin and reexamines the evidence used at eventual trial. A first class account and presented here with a first class translation.

This book was definitely not what I was expecting it was so much more. After working I the health care industry for half of my life, I really wanted to read this book. This was a compelling and disturbing read and could not put it down. I found it very hard to get my head round that I was reading true crime and not fiction. The nurse involved was a Danish nurse Christina Aistrip Hansen who killed her vulnerable patients but who is still protesting her innocence. This read left me speechless. As for the lessons learned made me angry. The nurse in question was convicted of killing three but as the says a lot were cremated and all evidence was now ashes.

Kristian Corfixen has done an incredible job writing The Nurse. This is a gripping and suspenseful account of a nurse in Denmark who is suspected of deliberately killing patients. Corfixen does an excellent job of creating a sense of tension and drama, making the reader feel like they are right there alongside the investigators as they try to solve the mystery.
The Nurse is an excellent read for anyone interested in crime thrillers, or in learning more about how investigations work. Corfixen provides a detailed and fascinating look at the evidence-gathering process, and he makes it clear that no detail is too small when trying to solve a crime. The Nurse is an addictive and suspenseful book that will keep you hooked until the very end.
I refuse to believe this actually happened.The moral part of me is utterly shocked. A dark part of me can't wait for this to become a TV show or movie.
