Description
It's fairy tale come true for Julia Jones, a stalled artist living in Boston's Old World Italian neighborhood, the North End. She's engaged to marry the impossibly wonderful (and impossibly wealthy) Asher Bartlett — in a Swiss castle, no less. And after the wedding, she'll get to ditch her dead-end nonprofit job and go from being a sometime painter to a full-time artist.
But when the wedding plans take a turn for the worse, in a flash, Julia's life goes from fairy tale to second-rate soap opera. Determined as she is not to again lose track of her art, she's got to pay the rent, and she reluctantly returns to her day job — and her diabolical coworker, Byron. A brief flicker of romantic hope when she reconnects with her high school crush is followed by repeated rejection, and she struggles not to feel too jealous that her commitment-phobic best friend has somehow stumbled into a stable, honest-to-goodness relationship. All the while, she's haunted by the biggest mystery of all: what went wrong with Asher?
Looking for a fun, often funny read with substance and a jolt of self-love? Pick up Marrying Myself and fall in love with Julia, with Boston — and, most of all, with yourself.

"An entertaining journey filled with sprightly dialogue and self-discovery, Marrying Myself by Christine Melanie Benson keeps us guessing right up until the very end as our heroine, Julia Jones, learns that maybe there is no such thing as a 'Perfect Man' — only what's perfect for her." –Katy Berritt, author of The Candy Capers

Julia was supposed to marry the impossibly wealthy) Asher Bartlett in a Swiss castle and she was going to become a full-time artist after marriage. Unfortunately, the wedding plans didn't work out and she went through a series of life lessons hoping to find herself.
It's a funny book with lots of terrific LOL scenes. Love the growth that Julia went through. I enjoyed the humor and the snarky banter. A quick fun read.
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.
