What a treat to head back into the world of Nell and the Cave Bear.
This latest edition to the series (there will be more, won't there?!?!) sees poor Nell and Cave Bear get separated... Those strawberries were too tempting and the Woodland Clan were out and about, up to no good. Nell and her friends have a race against time to find Cave Bear again. Martin Brown carefully handles the tension - just enought to keep the pages turning, but the 'danger' is handled gently making this perfect for little readers. Loved the inclusion of the other animals (no spoilers) and how the whole series imparts a love of, and respect for, nature and wildlife.
Utterly charming.
