The implications of Exposed are being who you are, who you’re meant to be, and not what society expects you to be.
Through these poems we share in the experiences of everything pervasive in our society- school bullying, comparing yourself to others, victimization, power, violence, the misogynistic culture in which we live, human rights, poverty, racism, sexism, and greed.
This is heavy stuff. And it’s happening. Reading this, I was floored. Anger built up with each page. This stuff is happening every day. It should matter. Let’s make it matter.
