The Journals of Zacharia 1905-1985 — 80 Years of Adventure. A novel of historical fiction. Captivating, intriguing, and suspenseful.

A novel about a young man named Zacharia Valentine Zabrinski, who's told on his eighteenth birthday in 1905, that his mother died giving birth to him, and his father disappeared before he was born.

His Aunt Celeste, who raised him as his mother, Grandma Martha, and sister Annie, are tremendous support personnel who help Zacharia on his quest to discover that he is, after all, a child of God, and is destined for a tremendous future.

Zacharia's doubt in himself is overcome, when through a great deal of successful accomplishments, such as—Developing many lifelong friendships, like his best friend since second grade Pete, or, Max Marquis, the wealthiest man in New York City. Finding Adaline, his true love for all eternity, when wounded in WW1. Being asked to run as Eisenhower's Vice-President in 1952. Overcoming some minor set-backs, such as losing a small fortune digging six dry oil-wells in Alaska.

I adored this novel and following the life of Zacharia Valentine Zabrinski through his diary entries and letters over a span of 80 years. Very much a captivating, fast read, perfect for the holidays.

Zack's told on his eighteenth birthday in 1905, that his mother died giving birth to him, and his father disappeared before he was born. We then follow Zach through most of the 20th Century as he follow his quest for his future and his family ties. We follow his lifelong friendships, his great love all interspersed with some of the key events of the century.

His Aunt Celeste, who raised him as his mother, Grandma Martha, and sister Annie, are tremendous support personnel who help Zacharia on his quest to discover that he is, after all, a child of God, and is destined for a tremendous future.

Don't hesitate to read this, it's a true joy from Jerry Ziemer.

This is a sweeping book about Zacharias journals it starts in the early 19th century and continues for decades. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from his inner thoughts, his regrets his one love it’s all in this book that I highly recommend. I love books about peoples journals or diaries and have read some really bad ones lately but the journals of Zachariah isn’t one of them. This is a total five star read in one I will probably read again in the future. You can’t help but to love Zachariah especially in the beginning when he tells his aunt to mind her business and then later on says that is his one biggest regret in his life. I love books by black rose writing and this is a great example of why. I received this book from NetGalley and black RoseWriting but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.
