Description

Full of explosive magic, searing romance, and heartbreaking betrayal, These Infinite Threads is the breathtaking sequel to the instant New York Times and Sunday Times bestseller This Woven Kingdom

With the heat of a kiss, the walls between Alizeh, the long-lost heir to an ancient Jinn kingdom, and Kamran, the crown prince of the Ardunian empire, have crumbled. And so have both of their lives.

Kamran’s grandfather, the king of Ardunia, lays dead, the terrible secret of his deal with the devil exposed to the world. Cyrus, the mysterious copper-haired royal, has stolen Alizeh away to Tulan, the neighboring kingdom where he rules. Cyrus has made his own deal with the devil—one that would require Alizeh to betray her feelings for Kamran if she’s to reclaim the Jinn throne.

Alizeh wants nothing to do with Cyrus, or his deal with Iblees. But with no means of escaping Tulan, and with the tantalizing promise of fulfilling her destiny as the heir to the Jinn, she’s forced to wonder whether she can set aside her emotions—and finally become the queen her people need.

Kamran, meanwhile, is picking up the pieces of his broken kingdom. Facing betrayal at every turn, all he knows for certain is that he must go to Tulan to avenge his grandfather. He can only hope that Alizeh will be waiting for him there—and that she’s not yet become queen of Tulan.

‘Gut-wrenchingly beautiful.’Kirkus Reviews

“In a tale as exquisitely crafted as one of Alizeh’s own garments, Mafi weaves a spell of destiny and danger, forbidden love and courtly intrigue, magic and revolution.”—Cassandra Clare, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Last Hours

‘This story is so magical and transportive that I fully expected the book would know the moment I'd finished – within hours, no less – and promptly unravel into a pile of jewels and silks in my hands. Mafi's diamond-bright lyrical voice weaves a tale that is gilded in magic, laced with subterfuge, adorned with the brocade of a tortuous romance, and richly embroidered with Persian mythology. I cannot wait for more.’ – Roshani Chokshi, New York Times bestselling author of The Gilded Wolves

this book just proves how talented tahereh mafi is at writing books with immense characters, intrigue, plot and romance. it was so so good.
this is such a strong sequel to an already great book, if anything i enjoyed it more because of the different dynamics and where the story is going. the worldbuilding itself is incredible, its rich and so so magical, true escapism done to such a high standard!!
i also really love the complexities and layers of the characters and how they grapple with themselves, it makes them so well substantiated and relatable, especially alizeh who questions everything she knows in this book.
i also adored the growing relationship between cyrus and alizeh, it was angsty but cautious and it kept me on my toes and had me hooked to the book, im genuinely not sure what will become of it especially when kamran comes back into the picture, creds to mafi’s insane writing intrigue.
i really adored this book, it was so immersive and its truly magical. its excellently written with good plot points, and i liked how it picked
up where we finished from the woven kingdom, getting right to it and seeing where it was going.
alizeh’s chapters were my favourite, they were gripping and paced really well, i loved seeing her develop and adapt throughout the book.
will for sure be recommending this, its a really really strong book, with 3 incredible main characters and it was consistently unpredictable, i had no idea what was going to happen next, drawing me in.
thank you to farshore my arc i LOVED reading these infinite threads, tahereh mafi absolutely pulled it out the bag, as always <3

5/5 stars! OMG. I have still not forgiven myself for not realizing that "This Woven Kingdom" was going to be a trilogy last year. I devoured the first book and have been impatiently waiting to find out what happened with Kamran and Alizeh since. This book was EVERYTHING! I kept getting angry while reading it because Cyrus was giving off Rhysand energy and I didn't want that for our boy Kamran. This story was so intricately woven that even while cursing one character's name, you still found yourself rooting for them. This book added depth to Alizeh's history and lost kingdom and how our queen may take her rightful place. Kamran was frustrating during this story. I felt for his loss but was so frustrated at his inability to trust Alizeh for the majority of the story. The cliffhanger was present but not too upsetting. I'm eager for the next book but will try to be more patient waiting this time around.

The action in this book is great. You feel even more connected to this world as you set in a second time Alizeh, Kamran and Cryups are all unquie in thier own ways.

You will find with this triangle yourself rooting for one or the other Kamran or Cryups. Which will she decide upon.

It's a very interesting and engaging; the various scenes and creatures paint a vivid image in your imagination. I absolutely adore the enemies to lovers to enemies vibes through out the, in addition to the mysteries that are only now beginning to be solved. I'm already looking forward to the next one.

**Spoilers for book 1**

Book 2 of this series (at least I hope it becomes one) looks at what happens after the King is killed and Alizeh is taken to Tulan, whilst the Prince is trying to work out who she was and how to proceed with his kingdom. This book was immersive, with the different scenes and creatures, it creates an amazing picture in your mind. I love the enemies to lovers to enemies vibes throughout, and the mysteries that are only just starting to have answers. I can't wait for the next one.

This book had me hooked! I devoured it within one sitting 😅
Kamran or Cryus
I honestly don't know who I'm rooting for but I think I'm gonna have to go with Cryus cause he just gives me early Rhysand vibes 😩🥰
I'm going to need around 3-5 business days to get over the cliffhanger of an ending and I desperately need the next in the series 😭💞
