Description

What if you were haunted by Dark Dreams?

What if you met the woman of your dreams in a nightmare?

Jack Thornton, a former Marine lieutenant who served with the famed “Walking Dead” in Vietnam and who is now a lawyer in San Francisco. His quiet, ordered life begins to unravel, however, when his nightmares begin to shape his waking hours.

The grim images that haunt Jack’s sleep are not of Vietnam but of things and beings not of this earth. Foremost among them is an adversary older than time and evil beyond imagining: the Yarvaak Golu, The-God-Who-Waits.

A fleeting image of a beautiful silver-haired woman and a chance meeting with friends at a strange Irish tavern he frequents leads him on a journey of discovery. Jack comes to realize that he is something far more than human. He is a Hero, an undying servant of the Absolute, doomed to an endless cycle of violent death and rebirth.

Jack will not travel alone. He is guided by Sean Plunkett, once a feared IRA gunman; Ian Masterman, the leader of an ancient secret society, and Bridgid Cassidy, a redhaired Wise Woman who knew him in an age of legends when he bore a storied name.

All of them will aid Jack on his path, which will lead to a clash with an implacable enemy and a meeting with a beautiful woman he has known only in his dreams: Aiyanna...

When I first read the description of Omniverse I was intrigued and since I was looking for something ""different"" to read I downloaded the sample. Half way through the sample I pressed the purchase button...I didn't want to break my reading flow.

Once I started reading Omniverse, I couldn’t stop turning the pages. I stayed up all night a couple nights I think! The plot is suspenseful with a lot of unexpected twists. I was never able to guess how the story was going to end, and that’s a sign of great writing!

All the characters were deeply developed, especially Jack Thornton, an Irish Accountant who found himself in a series of surreal battles that spill over from his dreams into his reality. I recommend this book especially for readers who enjoy fascinating page turners!

I am eagerly awaiting book 2!

This book was well written with good conflict and solid suspense and action that kept me reading well into the night. I love fated mates romances, so this was a perfect read for me. I highly recommend this one and can't wait to read more from this author. Huge thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this book.

This was a real slow burner.

I struggled at the start, but it slowly drew me in until I did not want it to finish.

The characters were engaging and there were certainly some questions left at the end of the book.

Thoroughly enjoyable.
