This was a lovely story about how much you can accomplish when you believe in yourself and lean a little on your friends. I think it will do a great job helping boast self esteem from a young age. Plus the art style is incredibly cutesy
This was such a cute children’s book. Perfect life lesson for the 5-8 year old crowd. This would be a great book to read aloud to a classroom. The illustrations are beautiful and bright. I loved the cute message. It was short and sweet. My kindergarten class would love it. Definitely be able to do fun activities along with it!
This adorable book should be in every young child’s classroom or home. The artwork is beautiful and engaging. The story of a little snail who wants to have an adventure, but he is told that is not what snails do. He sets out into the world, and every time he repeats to himself that is not what snails do, a new friend appears to help him on his way. It is a wonderful story about being brave and trying new things.
This book, at its heart, a cozy and moving story about thinking big, being brave and trying things that are different from normal. Walter the snail, is told that all snails doe is eat leaves day in day out, but he has bigger ambitions so he sets off on a brave journey to explore and try new things or see things he never has before. He is told over over that "this isn't what a snail does" but he chooses to be himself and do things others haven't dared to do before. This book is compelling story about Walters bravery and is definitely a great read to inspire young children to pursue their desires by being courageous.
Walter the Wonder Snail was charming and entertaining. I enjoyed the illustrations most of all. I found myself admiring the details of the illustrations as well as appreciating the motion of the drawings. The story was interesting and would be inspiring for the 4-8 year old set.
Walter the Wonder Snail is a really cute book about not letting your limitations stop you from going after what you want. I loved all the different animals and the excitement of Walter's travels. The illustrations were bright and fun, and I liked the action sounds (boink, etc)
Thank you, NetGalley for this advance copy of Walter the Wonder Snail in exchange for my honest review.
"Walter is a snail who is really, really bored of leaves. Surely there's more to life than leaves? His fellow snails are happy just slowly munching away... but not Walter! He wants to try something new."
This book was adorable. I read it with my nephew and he loved it.
The illustrations are so beautiful! Frida the bird was my favorite of the illustrations.
Walter the wonder snail is a wonderful story about a snail learning he can do whatever he wants if he thinks big. It is delightfully illustrated.
Such a charming book! I loved Walter and admired his ambition. I also like how the format invites kids to guess what’s to come. I can see this book sparking lots of great conversations in class and in speech therapy! I also love the colorful pictures and feel that they show movement so well. Kids are sure to fall in love with Walter!
Such beautiful illustrations! A wonderful story of venturing out and doing things that you may think are impossible. Walter is brave and makes some wonderful friends out on his adventure.

Oh. My. Gosh. 😍🥰🥹 How much cuter can Walter the snail get! The illustrations in this book just melted my heart and I fell in love with the adventurous snail!
Walter is a snail that is bored of his home of leaves. He wants a little adventure and see the world, However he does learn that you can have an adventure and still yearn for home.
I highly recommend this book to kids with young kids. It's incredibly cute and a keeper!

I will be posting my review to my Instagram page the.littlest.bookworm and retail sites on or close to publication.
This story will teach your little one they can do anything they put their mind to. Walter the snail is bored and wants to explore. All the other snails say no but Walter does anyway. Along the way he meets lot of friends that help and encourage him. My favorite part of the book was the pictures and the placement of words. The words fit in with the pictures and were very enjoyable to read!
"I now know that anyone can do anything they put their mind to"
Walter is not a regular snail. He's a snail that have big dreams: to travel high and far, despite what his snail friends say.. And who would imagine that he could get new friends too along the way?
Nice illustrations too, I love it!
It is a very cute children’s story. Does a great job of teaching children to follow their dreams, and do what they want despite what others say, that you’ll always come across someone who also believes in you even what others don’t and you start to not believe in yourself either. The illustrations of the book also very cute and well done and match the story.
Just because nobody did it before you, it doesn't mean you should not try or it is impossible to do! I hope my daughter will keep this message in mind and becomes as adventurous, brave and curious about the world as Walter, the snail.
I can't decide if I like the story or the drawings better. This is an amazing children book.
Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for an Advance Review Copy.
What a wonderful story of accomplishment and believing in oneself, as well as not being scared of exploring.
Walter the Wonder Snail was a very enjoyable read. If you enjoy the Snail and the Whale, you will have a good time reading this with your children. The illustrations along with the enjoyable adventure captured the attention of my children of all ages.
Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to review this advance copy.
The kids really enjoyed it. Nice story, kept them interested & good pictures.
The messages in the story were really good, and explained well. The premise of helping others to combat their fears and also that we must think big!
Lovely book, thanks for the advanced copy.
Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books for allowing me to be an early reader. All opinions are my own.
My boys (age 5 and 3) loved this adorable book about Walter the Wonder Snail. Walter lives a boring life among the leaves. One day he decides to "think BIG" and go on an adventure even though that's not what snails do. Along the way he meets a squirrel, bird, frog, and rabbit who help him overcome obstacles.
This would be an excellent book for classrooms and early readers. It has a nice message and beautifully colored illustrations.
This is a cute book about going on an adventure and seeing your place in a new light and angle. I really love the illustrations and the cute little animals and creatures throughout.
My grandsons loved everything about this book! I loved the help the animals gave to the snail to help him accomplish things he wasn’t able to do on his own. Such a sweet story!
The illustrations were very cute and I loved the colors.
Be brave, be curious, and be like Walter the snail!
A book about a snail who wants to know more. Who wants to be more. A snail who is different, who wants to see more, who wants to understand more. This is definitely a book any kid would benefit from! Through the eyes of a snail, it encourages you to see beyond what is right in front of you, it encourages you to go where you have never been to, and it encourages you to experience what has not been experienced yet. of course, it is scary to stand out and to be different, but if the little and oh-so-adorably cute snail can do it, so can you!
Also, the drawings are really cute! They are large, clear, and colorful, and the text is not too long. Each tiny piece of text is followed by a relevant and cute drawing.
Walter the Wonder Snail is an absolutely delightful and adventurous picture book that is a blast to read aloud to young readers. Throughout the story, Walter doubts his abilities because “that’s not what snails do”, but various other animal characters encourage him to stretch the bounds of what he can do. I love a book that reminds children of their limitless potential and not to get caught up in what people say they can or can’t do because of who they are!
If you are looking for an adorable book about a snail having an existential crisis and setting out into the world out of spite and with the sole purpose of proving everyone else wrong, look no further than Walter The Wonder Snail.
Walter enjoys his quiet piece of earth surrounded by leaves but wonders if there is more out there for him. When he sets out on his adventures, he meets lots of new friends that give him the courage he needs to successfully complete his quests. Walter soon learns that believing in yourself is the most important thing.

Super cute, adventurous, and full of fun. It held my 5 year olds attention. The illustrations were bright and colorful!
Thought this was a fantastic book. Such a wonderful storyline that engages the reader and shows children that there is no goal that isnt achievable, even if someone says that you cant do it, where there is a will there is a way. Absolutely gorgeous illustrations and such great resources to have the classroom! Cant wait to get my hands on a hard copy!
It’s TIME to think BIG! Wow i love the illustration and the color. It will catch the kids attention. The story is about do the change, and do whatever you want!

Walter the Wonder Snail is an adorable and moving picture book. The illustrations are gorgeous and do a wonderful job creating the atmosphere. Each character Walter comes across is unique and moves the story forward. As for the text, I loved how descriptive each word used was. Clark did an incredible job both as author and illustrator.
