Description
This a collection of four plays by Robert Beshara. The plays are in the tradition of the theater of the absurd pioneered by playwrights such as Samuel Beckett, Eugène Ionesco, and Harold Pinter. However, it is rare to see surreal plays in English by an Egyptian playwright influenced by Antonin Artaud and Tawfik el-Hakim. Beshara, active as a director and producer in the Cairo theater scene before the Egyptian uprising, has included some production photos as supplements.
