Description

The Propagandists is an explosive and timely political thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat, questioning whom to trust and how far some will go to protect their beliefs.

Steve Jaffe’s long-awaited final chapter to his Corrupted Intelligence Series, The Propagandists, pushes the United States to the brink.

Not since 9/11 has the intelligence community been caught off-guard. But now, domestic white supremacy militias are simultaneously initiating a series of mass shootings in Manhattan, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles. The death toll of innocent Americans totals over three thousand.

When President Thaddeus Thompson unexpectedly dies after six months in office, Vice President Shannon Graham becomes the first female President. Before she could settle into her new role as Commander and Chief, churches, synagogues, and mosques are being bombed during religious services, killing over twenty-five hundred worshipers.

Investigative reporter Paige Turner receives an anonymous package detailing an upcoming civil war. Unable to get the intelligence community to listen to her, she decides to go it alone to expose every detail she has been given.

President Graham believes that White Supremacists have infiltrated Congress, the West Wing, the FBI, and Homeland Security. She remembers how Sam Collins and Tiffany Glass had stopped the last attempt at a Civil War and asks them to come out of retirement to help her new administration. Is it too late to stop these terrorists before the United States falls into a state of anarchy and a race war begins? Collins and Glass have to decide to risk everything again and jeopardize their lives to save the country they love.

The Propagandists is an explosive and timely political thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat, questioning whom to trust and how far some will go to protect their beliefs.

I received an ARC through "NetGalley" and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This story will grab your attention right from the beginning. It begins with DRM, a white supremacists group, laying out plans to create a Confederate States of America. The group seems to be supported by a large majority and Government officials are included. The current president dies and the Vice President, Shannon Graham, is sworn in and becomes the new president. For DRM, this is unfortunate because she doesn't agree with their position.

DRM has initiated several incidents and President Graham brings Sam Collins to be AG and Tiffany Glass to be Director of the FBI because she doesn't have faith in the people currently handling the job. Later they will bring in Paige Turner, a podcaster, as part of the group. They later discover that Albert Dunham, who was known as "The Architect" and believed to be dead is still alive and has developed a weapon that he threatens to use.

The country is deeply divided and people of color are being attacked all over. Trying to control what is going on is very difficult, and to make matters worse, a group from Argentina is becoming involved.

To discover what actions the President's team took, who the leader of DRM was, who the group from Argentia represented and how everything worked out in the end, then you need to read this book. It is a winner and makes you wonder whether this can happen now.
