When the final contestants of a reality TV show end up on an half abandoned island for the finale of the show, they end up in a more deadly situation then anyone signed up for!

I absolutely loved this novel, it reads like a classic monster horror from old Hollywood, the author brilliantly builds up the tension with creepy moments and hints of horror before the ending with a bang. Each character felt well rounded but Renee especially was my favourite, I liked her attitude toward other characters and the TV show. Also the TV show was such an amazing idea to add to this story.

I cant wait to read more from this author!

This book was pure chaos and I’m obsessed with it! The romance reality show lured me right into a false sense of security and I completely forgot to wonder who ‘Patricia’ was until the last third. But that last third was wild.

I thought the pacing was perfect and the level of dark humour throughout kept the story from becoming too ‘creepy’ whilst keeping the suspense going as to what was actually happening.

I have to say that Renee was presented as the main protagonist and to be honest I didn’t really care much for her at all in the book- I thought Casey had more going for her…

I really enjoyed this tongue-in-cheek romp through vapid influencers, the jaded brains behind them and the escapades of the lady Sasquatch.

Patricia Wants To Cuddle by Samantha Allen is a high camp, high fun story of four women who are racing to the finale of The Catch, a Bachelor-esque show where they each are vying for ex-tech bro Jeremy’s last corsage. As the final episodes are filming on remote Otter Island, the cast and crew begin to feel like they are being watched…and then they start going missing. This was a quick read that anyone who follows influencers or is into reality TV would enjoy with the added benefit of some creepy, “horror-lite” vibes.

This book is just delightfully delightfully bonkers in the best way.

Honestly, what a palate cleanser! The book follows the contestants of a reality dating show, a bit like The Bachelor, while they film the penultimate show on Otter Island, a remote spot somewhere near Seattle. All the contestants are more concerned with their social media following than finding true love and there’s not a single nice contestant among them.

It’s hard to say much about this book without giving away spoilers but it’s great campy horror that is also downright hilarious. The dialogue feels real and so do the characters and I could have read 100 pages more. It’s quite easy to read and I couldn’t put it down. But it is equal parts gruesome as it is funny.

5/5 - because not all good reads are Shakespeare or Booker prize worthy.

I loved this and devoured the entire thing in a day.

Starring a brilliant cast of gloriously unlikeable characters, this book was funny, gory, and a bit unhinged in the very best of ways.

It was the perfect B movie style horror and I had a great time trying to guess what would happen next.

I really liked the slow build up to meeting the title character, the tension building really well over the course of the book.

Overall this was a 5/5 read for me and I highly recommend it.

Wow! What a wonderful, messed up book this is. Reality TV has never been as much fun as it is in this hilarious send-up. Laughs and gore galore with great characters and a fantastic setting, this book was a real breath of fresh air. Highly recommended.

Loved loved loved this book! A witty take on the Bachelor mixed with Survivor with a supernatural entity thrown in the mix on a secluded island. What mor can you ask? I thoroughly enjoyed the story, the writing and the humour. I read it in 2 sittings as I was dying to know what would happen next. Ambition, redemption and love are blended perfectly, one of my books of the year!

This is the most fun I have had reading a book in a long time. It is witty, clever and mocking in a way that is brutally honest without being too cynical or cruel. The author managed to poke fun at the male characters without reducing them entirely to caricatures and brought the female characters to life when a lot of authors would have reduced them to sexist tropes. Such a quick read and yet so full of juicy storylines and details.
