An absolutely delightful cookbook: lovely photos with just the right amount of story and description accompanying each recipe, and delicious results. One of my favorite dishes is chicken pates with chutney, so I was eager to try Mota's recipe for pastelitos de pollo. They were DELICIOUS.

I can’t wait to try some of these recipes, they are so many that look mouth-watering and something I have never tried before. Beautiful pictures too.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

This is a beautiful cookbook with nice, simple recipes and wonderful graphics. Almost all of the recipes have pictures, which is something I look for in a cookbook. As someone who is not well versed in Dominican cooking, I found this book easy to follow, interesting, and yummy. I highly recommend both of the recipes for Arepas!

I am not a great cook but I love trying food from different cultures and living in Australia I don't think I've ever seen Dominican food. I do worry about the availability of some ingredients and wish there was a list of suitable replacements but that would probably make the recipes less authentic. (Plantains will be tricky to source)

I love the fact that there were many easy simple recipes so that those less cooking skilled(like me) can still make plenty of dishes in here.

This was my favorite cookbook of the year so far along with 100 morning treats..combine the two and you will be a well rewarded eater.
I liked the rice based recipes and the simplicity of the salads…the California avocados pale by comparison. The illustrations and small
vignettes are perfect…

Awesome collection of Dominican recipes! This is a great book book for someone who would like an array of recipes, or for a Dominican, like myself, who is looking for some traditional recipes.

Highly recommend this book!
