Description
Hymie Goldman and his loyal business partner Mike Murphy are private detectives and if you can find them and pay them actual money, they will try to convince you that they can help you – be warned.
This book collects their known adventures, featuring stories and characters so bizarre they could only be true.
Watch in amazement as they struggle to recover priceless artefacts, a stolen racehorse and save the world from total annihilation, while battling indifferent authorities and dangerous gangsters from every corner of the globe.
Laugh as they foolishly cling to the notion of true love. Gasp as the bullets fly and the bodies pile up. Cry as everything goes horribly wrong. Sigh as you close the book and say to yourself: “I couldn’t put it down it was stuck to my hand.”
A Note From the Publisher
Marketing Plan
A funny, unique and touching tale following the exploits of two private investigators trapped in a set of surreal situations in which they are hopelessly out of their depth.
The central characters are constantly outwitted by strong and intelligent female characters.
Inspired by big screen comedies such as the Pink Panther and Johnny English films.

The Penny Brothers' Dick for Hire was a super fun book to read. It has 4 different cases following Hymie Goldman, the Defective Detective. The writing style was a bit hard for me to get into at first because it starts really fast-paced, which I'm not used to with books. It just throws you into the adventure right away. The characters are laugh out loud funny at times. Hymie reminds me of a mix of Hercule Poirot and Mr. Bean lol. Overall, I give this book: 4 stars.
Overall I enjoyed the book, normally I don’t like a range of short stories but each kept me entertained and excited to read on. The crazy stories of Hymie and Mike made me laugh out loud and wanting to see what they got up to next. The characters were clever and developed the more stories I read, I defiantly would read more of these stories.
