Love Phillipa Ashley books. Freya is getting her business Cottage Angels ready for all the guests coming to the cabins for Christmas. She's shocked to find her ex Travis has booked one of the cabins

Fantastic read set in the Lake District. Travis is back home ready to face his demons in the village he grew up in. As he enters his longtime rent the first person he sees is Freya the one that got away. What can go wrong! Expertly written with the usual Phillipa Ashley twists.
Great festive read

This is my first book from Phillippa but it is like a hug in a book. Freya lives in the stunning Lake District and this is a story of giving love a second chance with the backdrop and magic of Christmas. A fab book from this author.

I look forward to a new Phillips Ashley novel, especially at Christmas so I was so excited to receive this copy. I so wasn’t disappointed and devoured it in one sitting. The romantic pull between Freya and Travis was very powerful and believable but their damaged childhoods were equally powerful and could easily have destroyed their romance. I loved some of the supporting characters such as Freya’s mum who was a social media influencer in her older years and Travis@s equally damaged younger brother.
The description of some of Travis’s photographs were also so vivid - I could so picture that hare and red squirrel. Absolutely perfect Christmas read.

I love Phillipa Ashley so I couldn’t wait to start this book which is all about Freya and her ex boyfriend Travis and it did not disappoint.

I loved the beginning of the book which goes back to when they were both children and I thought this was a lovely start.

The story is based in the Lake District and all the characters were lovely apart from a few (no spoilers) and I especially loved Seb.

A great Christmas Romance filled with family, friends, love and a solid five stars.

Thanks to NetGalley, Avon Books UK and Phillipa Ashley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The setting in the Lake District was wonderful and the romance between Freya and Travis was lovely to follow. A real page turner and a heartwarming story of second chances.

The story starts many years ago when the main character (a now successful business woman) is in primary school. This short prologue had me hooked and laughing out loud.
As with many of Phillipa's books this story is set in the Lake district and the descriptions of this beautiful part of England make you want to visit and see some of these sites for yourself - so much so my family and I have booked to go there for Christmas!
The crux of the story is although Freya has a very successful business she hasn't had much success with her love life. All her friends are matched up and her best friend is about to get married. When an ex turns up looking absolutely gorgeous and obviously still attracted to Freya it starts a bit of a will they wont they. However for me it was the humour and characters which resonated.
There are some great one liners and I read the whole book in a single sitting as I literally could not put it down and although it was sunny outside I was very much transported to the Lakes , a Christmas market and surrounded by snow.
This is an absolute fantastic festive read which I can not recommend enough.

Freya and her ex boyfriend Travis, meet up again after not seeing each other for years. Keeping busy with her flourishing business in the Lake District, she isn’t interested in relationships and has conflicting feelings about Travis.
Characters are well described, Freya, a hardworking, successful business owner, and Travis an inspirational photographer, returning to the town where he grew up and opening a new gallery. The plot is character driven, with a lighthearted, humorous tone, though darker issues are explored.
The sizzling chemistry between Freya and Travis increases as the plot unfolds, and I found the reconciliation between brothers Travis and Seb incredibly moving. The author describes the snow covered Lakeside mountains and scenery so vividly you feel you are there.
Phillipa Ashley is a favourite author, and her books always a joy to read.

I absolutely love and adore a gorgeous Phillipa Ashley novel! This one arrives perfectly in time before the Christmas Holidays and will be sure to delight readers. I cannot wait to share my full review and thoughts on this novel and I will be sharing a full review and thoughts upon completion. I apologize as I am currently dealing with some health issues, but I love the idea of someone who is a special decorator for th3 holidays (I have a background/in design) and finds love along the way.

I received an early copy of this book for an honest review. I would also like to say I have loved and read this author's books for a long time and have always admired her skill in telling such emotionally driven romantic stories. She most certainly did not disappoint again. This was such a lovely tale of a second chance at romance, which is not usually my thing, but worked here so beautifully. The story is fleshed out so well that our main female character does an excellent job of soul-searching to find the love for the male main character she never relinquished. Throw in all the festive Christmas activities in a small village and it is the perfect romantic story of love conquering all. I will definitely add this to my holiday reading list and will read it again and again.

Freya has a bumpy history when it comes to romance, beginning with Travis when she left him at the altar during a mock wedding at school and then Jos, calling off their wedding only weeks before it was to take place.
Now years later Travis has moved back to the village to set up a photography business and very quickly they establish a secret no strings fling.
Such a nice, cosy, romantic read that ends exactly how you want it to but not before they overcome several hurdles along the way.

When Freya Bolton broke Travis Marshall’s heart, Travis ran away from the village where they lived and became a successful photographer.
Freya, meanwhile, built up a thriving business managing and caretaking holiday cottages in the beautiful Lake District village. Deciding that love and commitment isn’t for her, Freya is happy with her life.
Now Travis has returned, and is opening a shop and gallery in the village. When they meet sparks instantly fly, but is getting involved with an old flame a good idea or are they destined to repeat past mistakes. With Christmas fast approaching Freya and Travis have a big decision to make. The most wonderful time of the year is the perfect time to heal old wounds if only they are willing to take a chance.
A beautiful, heart-warming story, with strong lead characters and a wonderful setting. Perfect to cosy up and lose yourself in on a cold winter day.

I loved this (even if it wasn't set in Cornwall like a lot of Phillipa's other books :) ). The story was engaging and entertaining. A lot of subjects covered really resonated with me, especially absent parents and how that can take its toll on you throughout your life.
As always, with Phillipa's books, you always end them feeling like you've spent time with new friends and ones you'd love to know what happens with the rest of their lives :)

A wonderful novel by Phillipa Ashley. Four Weddings and a Christmas takes place during Christmas time, which is always a magical time. Freya and Travis, I just loved them. They never stopped loving each other, even after time away. Travis was always afraid he would grow up to be like his father. Freya could never stop loving Travis. When they see each other again, what will they do?
This is a sweet story. Once I started I had a hard time putting it down. You will love Freya and Travis and root for them along the way.

I really enjoyed this book. Very festive and I loved following Freya and Travis’s story. Both really likeable characters. The supporting characters were all great too and there was a lovely community feel within the fictional village in which the story was set. Just a beautiful Christmassy read. I’ll be recommending this to everyone.
