We all fart, why not enjoy (and celebrate!) the fart? FARTY PANTS is a cute, raunchy kid’s book about adorable, gassy monsters stinking up a storm. Mixed with facts, history and science, FARTY PANTS takes kids on a goofy journey to learn more about gas. I learned so many weird facts - such as the dude who created the Pythagorean Theorem thought that your soul left your body when you farted, or that the longest verified fart was almost three minutes long.
Which… how. Just. How.
How was that possible? What did he eat? What was going on in this guy’s guts? Who was there to verify that? Did they start the stopwatch as soon as he started??
So. Many. Questions. So few answers.
Thanks Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for a review!
Oh, what a fart-astical book! Farty Pants is full of interesting facts about farts that will have you laughing your butt off. You will be a smarty-pants when you're done with this one! I absolutely loved it, and your kids will, too!
[Thanks Netgalley for the opportunity to review this eARC in exchange for my honest review on the book!]
A quick book full of fart facts. Fun for kids and for grandparents. An ode to joy of farts. What's not to like? On the pdf advance proof copy which I read, I could not activate the push button fart sounds embedded in the book. But, somehow, I got the message.
I wasn't expecting to learn a thing or two after reading this one!
This was great for both kids and adults!
It's a great way to teach kids about how the body works and keep their attention!
The illustrations were fun and colourful!
I really enjoyed this one, but Miss 2 was too young.
Great book!
Love it! I read this with my grandkids and we all thought it was fun. Eric Geron has created a perfect mix of facts and humor and the illustrations are great. This Nana recommends Farty Pants!
Farty Pants is absolutely hilarious while also informative! I especially liked the historical fart information.
This was awesome! Such a great fun way to talk to kids about farts and our bodies! Loved the graphics too!
Thanks @netgalley for the eARC!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of "Farty Pants". All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I can honestly say that I learned a lot in a book about farts. All the information was good and easy for children to understand. The pictures helped to connect to some of those bigger words that some kiddos might not know.
I loved the extra fun facts on the sides of the pages.
Overall, I did really enjoy it and I think most will too.
Who knew monster farts could be so educational. This was such a fun and funny learning book that we read together as a family, It had the kids laughing until they tooted.
This book is adorable.
I love the illustrations and found the facts fun and educational.
My son liked the bright colors
I would buy this book for my child or as a gift and I bet all kids would enjoy reading it
This story was so fun! I would love reading this in my classroom! It's silly and educational. I even learned a bunch of things about farts I didn't know about!I The use of monsters as the characers was super fun too! I love how colorful they all were and how well the illustrations matched with the information that was being given on the page.
This was a very fun fart book for elementary school readers. Bold, colorful illustrations of monsters paired with facts on everything from composition to velocity to even the philosophy of farts. Pythagoras thought you could fart out your soul. Who knew!? Great mix of science and jokes. I wasn't able to find the Goodreads listing for this book, so leaving the review here for now. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read early!
Funny, cute and very good information. I even learned a few things. My son is going into 2nd grade and enjoyed reading this. A few words mostly the names and scientific names he wasn't sure of, but we got through them! Loved the monsters and illustrations
Absolutely adored this book and I know it would be super popular with the young patrons! Will definitely recommend this for purchase for my library!
I found this book very educational for children. It teaches them that farting is natural and exactly what and why everyone farts.
I absolutely adored this fun, farty read! If I'm honest, the reasoning behind wanting to read & review this title is because...GAS HAPPENS...and the stigma around it astounds me. Yes, it's stinky and 'personal' but it IS NORMAL.
I really wanted to have some good one-liner comebacks or facts to dish out to my fiance the next time he complained that I had let one go (am I embarrassing myself right now? Most likely!).
I SO wish that I was able to press the buttons and hear the sounds accompanying the pages- HOW CHEEKY! This was another great book I didn't know I needed until Eric Geron decided to write this book into existence- you are the real MVP Eric!
Raunchy & goofy, Farty Pants is SURE to be a hit with any age range- not just delightful and full of laughs, but educational and relatable to boot!
Farts are a fact of life. Everyone farts. This book is a humorous look at the types and causes of farts in humans. Did you know the average person farts 14 times a day? Well I do now after reading this book. Kids will love the cute monster illustrations in this book and the fun and scientific facts about farts.
I have 3 young boys (and a husband who is a large child-at-heart) who LOVE fart humor. This book was both hilarious and educational. It made all of us giggle and we had to read it more than once immediately.
Super fun book! My eight year old son highly enjoyed this book and the humor behind the book! Will definitely be buying when it releases
💨 What a fun book! Not only is it fun and informative, but there are real fart noises too! Sadly, I couldn’t hear the fart noises because I only had the ebook from NetGalley and couldn’t press the fart buttons, but I am so intrigued that I think I am going to buy a few copies of this for my grandkids. I know they will love it!
💨 The information in the book is really great! It is a perfect blend of science and humor with a dash of history thrown in for good measure. You’ll learn if astronauts can fart in space, how loud farts can be, how long a person can fart, what conditions make farts smell worse, and so much more. There is a lot of amazing fart knowledge in this book!
💨 The illustrations are silly and engaging (check out my slides to see a few pages)! You will see lots of gas coming out of backsides! Kids will love it.
💨 I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… books that are fun AND educational are the best! This is an automatic 5-stars from me!
Thank you @netgalley and Quarto Publishing Goup / becker & mayer kids for an eARC of this book, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
I am in the business of normalizing the human body in our home and this book is the perfect addition for our shelves! This book is FILLED with facts but makes it fun.
I wish we had the physical copy so we could listen to the fart sounds that are included, I know that would have kept my children's interest.
This book is just hilarious, and very informative too; I never fully knew the science of farts until now!
Young readers and those reading to them will both enjoy this fun romp through the smelly science of flatulence.
I cannot wait to get this for my nephews; a book that will be sure to earn me the title of favourite aunt.
The illustrations are delightful and the length for the age of the readers is just right.
I can see a lot of the target audience going back again and again to recite fart facts to everyone they meet.
Thank you to Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book and provide my honest opinion.
I loved this book.
A factual book about farts and farting. Very interesting and loved the illustrations.
I wish I had a hard copy so I could’ve pushed the buttons for sound. Any kid, young or old will enjoy.
This book was so adorable, I loved everything about it, the illustrations were so well done, they suited the book perfectly, the story was amazing as well. I’m sure the kids are going to be just as enthralled with this amazing book as I was. I will definitely recommend! Thank you netgalley and the publisher for this early copy
This book is hilarious! A book all about farts! Children especially love farts and will absolutely love this book especially the fart sounds on each page. Filled with hilarious pictures and fart facts, what's not to love?! Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.
One of the funniest and most entertaining books I have ever read. It provided a tremendous amount of information on the hows and whys of farts but did it in the most interesting way. My grandson and I laughed so hard we could read for a few minutes. I think everyone should have a copy. It is great entertainment, educational and provides great family bonding! Everyone in my family are receiving one this Christmas.
I received an ARC from NetGalley. This in no way affects my opinion or rating of this book. I am voluntarily submitting this review and am under no obligation to do so.
A hilariously informative read. I normally do not like potty humor but the cover illustration of this book and the description had me hooked! The artwork in this book is adorable, colorful, and funny. Although I received a digital copy, I noticed there were sound effect buttons for a hard copy version - I think this will be a big hit with early readers. It is wordy and packed with a lot of information but not overly complicated. Seeing the silly illustrations and the fun facts, I could just imagine the giggles coming from the young readers who get their hands on this.
My only note is there is a fun fact that references "Pumba from The Lion King" but I believe the spelling should be "Pumbaa."
Thank you to #NetGalley and The Quarto Publishing Group - becker & mayer! for this complimentary DRC of #FartyPants
Well, I"m not sure what I think of this book, but I can tell you my 6 year old daughter and my 11 year old son are huge fans! The author does a great job of making the book funny, but adding some interesting facts about farts that my son will surely pass along in class;) I'm sure this book will be a big hit, who doesn't love to learn about passing gas!? Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this arc in exchange for my honest review!
