We love to see a modern vegetarian cookbook that doesn't scare away the omnivores! This book is filled with mouthwatering photos you'll be excited to sink your teeth into. The recipes are categorized by type, so you can easily look for what you're craving. An extra treat is the Liveners chapter, filled with flavored oils, dressing, and crunchy toppings you can add to any meal to "liven" things up. I love forward to making my way through this cookbook and I know my family will be try the new dishes.

I love vegetables, so I was excited when Anna Shepherd’s book, Love Vegetables: Delicious Recipes for Vibrant Meals, was published. This book is all about vegetables and includes dozens of recipes that use them in many different ways.
Although I’m not a vegetarian, the recipes included are mouthwatering and they are for dishes that both vegetarians and carnivores will want to make at home. The recipes are written in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed first, followed by step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow for both beginning and advanced cooks.

One thing that is great about this cookbook is that the recipes are very unique. They use lots of different vegetables in each dish, as well as beans and pasta, and many of the recipes are hearty and filling without the need for meat, poultry, fish, or seafood. Actually, those of us carnivores can always add our favorite proteins to many of these recipes if we are so inclined. Another plus to these recipes is that many are colorful and very attractive, which is evident to anyone perusing this cookbook due to the beautiful, professional photographs that have captured most of the recipes.

All told, vegetable lovers will love to cook from this excellent cookbook. It makes a nice addition to a cookbook collection.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

I loved the pictures! I always like to know what the food should look like when I make it. The book is organized into different sections. I enjoyed learning new ways to cook vegetables but for personal taste, I won't be making many of these.

The title of this beautiful cookery book says it all - I defy anyone to look at the beautiful photography in this book and not fall in love with vegetables (even just a little bit!!)

An utter plethora of delightful recipes are featured, and these are arranged by vegetable type. Helpfully grams and ounces are used to aid accessibility of the recipes. I found the photography super helpful in deciding which recipe to prepare (devour!) first. I was amazed by the selection of recipes on offer and look forward to experimenting with many of these.

Overall this is a lovely book that I would proudly display on my coffee table!

My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review the book in exchange for an advance copy.

Love vegetables is a great cookbook that incorporates ways to spice up your vegetables for both omnivores and vegetarians alike. Love vegetables is broken up into nine categories of Alliums, hardy greens, tender greens, potatoes & creamy roots, tougher to love roots, tomatoes & peppers, sunny vegetables, extra savoury vegetables, and liveners. The recipes in this book look absolutely delicious. The recipes are easy to follow and mostly serve to 2-6 people making it nice for a family or small gathering.

Love Vegetables by Anna Shephard is a beautiful cookbook. The author shares her recipes for a variety of vegetables, but isn’t pushing a particular diet, such as vegetarian and veganism. Love Vegetables is for the home cook who wishes to “celebrate” the vegetable by making it the center of each dish. The photos are colorful and appealing. And the recipes are scrumptious with accessible ingredients. I highly recommend this cookbook for those who want to add more vegetables to their diets.

This is a beautiful cookbook! I love how the recipes are separated into culinary uses, such as alliums, leafy greens, tomatoes, etc. The photographs for each recipe are gorgeous and lively. This is not a vegetarian or vegan cookbook; some of the recipes feature things like Parmesan or anchovies. This is perfect for me, as I am not a vegetarian, but like many others I am interested in incorporating more vegetables into my diet rather than focusing on meat as a main. I love that each recipe includes a variation at the bottom to cut down on food costs.
As a gardener, this is a cookbook that makes me excited for spring! I cannot wait to test the recipes inside.
