After things go wrong with Abi with her work she decides to go to Tuscany to visit her friend Holly. She meets Tony who she thinks is American but is actually Italian. She has sworn off getting involved with anyone after a terrible tragedy.
Reading the book was like a lazy break in Tuscany, all hot days, cotton dresses and beautiful sunsets. I loved the dynamic of the group working and living in Italy, making vineyards run, b and bs welcoming and restaurants enticing. Abi and Tony are both fun characters that are made appealing. There are lots of little twists of good and bad individuals and a great twisty ending that I didn’t spot which made the plot,
I absolutely loved this book. My second novel by Carrie Walker and just as good as the first, which I absolutely adored too!
Tuscany sounded idyllic and I really enjoyed reading about Abi’s job as a makeup artist, everything sounded really interesting.
An amazing, summer read. Would 100% recommend.
A lovely bit of chick lit that makes you dream of jetting off to Tuscany. An easy read that has you thinking of summer.
This was a stunning summery read that I could have only dreamed of living for myself. I really enjoyed the romance and had a lot of fun with the story in it's entirety.
Reading this book is like taking a holiday in Tuscany. I could feel the sun and smell the coffee a delight if a read.
Real easy to read romance that grips you from the start. Love that the lead character is a make up artist, this enables the author to write in lots of interesting locations for the story. Lovely picture on the front to suit the mood of the story.
Such a wonderful escapist read.
I loved Carrie Walker's first book so I knew to expect armchair travel, warm-hearted explorations into love and relationships and some laugh-out-loud antics. This book didn't disappoint! I loved the portrayal of Tuscany - a location I love and thought was captured beautifully. And it was fun to peek behind the scenes of a makeup artist's life. It's also SO romantic.
Highly recommended.
Really enjoyed this light hearted escape to Tuscany. Abi is a make up artist who has an unpleasant experience with a client. She ends up on holiday in Tuscany and helps with the grape harvest at the vineyard belonging to two brothers...she embraces Italian life and one of the brothers...and ends up getting revenge on her unpleasant client.
Loved the characters and the setting.
A great read.
What a lovely romantic read and a romantic setting. Italy and love just go together like peaches and cream. 5 stars.
Thanks to Netgalley, author and publisher for this ARC
This is a light-hearted, easy read.
Abi has closed herself off from adventure and commitment after a devastating loss.
Travelling to Tuscany to see her best friend, she gradually becomes open to living life to the full.
I love the way this author immerses you in the location in both her books.
I just wish Abi had been a stronger character. I felt she was being controlled by the other strong characters in the book.
Absolutely love, love, loved this one.
I loved the previous book in this series (although this one can easily be read as a stand alone story) so had high hopes for this one, and I was not disappointed!
The author certainly has a way of drawing you in and making you care greatly about all the different characters.
It’s not your typical love story with lots of things happening with the different characters. Yes, you could probably say it’s a little predictable but in a good way, you really hope things are going to work out how you want them too.
The author is fantastic at setting the scene, you really do feel that you are there. I can vividly see the places the characters visit and the places they stay, she really brings this story to life in your mind.
All in all a lovely read, I hope for more!
Thank you to NetGalley, Aria & Aries and author Carrie Walker for this eARC.
Just like book one in this series "Escape to the Tuscan Vineyard" was super cute and fun.
The setting is beautiful and Walker does such a great job of describing it and sucking you in.
Our FMC Abi is a bit thightly wound but still very loveable and relatable.
I fell in love with Tony right away and could not get enough of him.
A fantastic summer read that I'd 100% recommend!
This is the second book by Carrie and it didn’t disappoint. Love it all, the scenery, the characters and the plot. It’s funny and makes you smile. Love the writing too, easy flowing and quick to read in one sitting. It makes you want to jump on a plane to Italy now.
Abi works as a makeup artist, when her job is double booked in London, she’s goi g to visit her friend in Italy. She doesn’t like change so it’s unnerving for her. Love her lists though. 😂 She ends up on a plane to Italy and loves it, she might even meet a lonely guy.
It’s a happy, sunny romantic rom-com 5 star read.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.
‘Life isn’t about constantly lining up the next list of jobs to do.’
Abi Mason has been heart broken before and now lives by a simple rule: no second dates. She is career focussed, and doesn’t need a boyfriend, or anything else.
Yet with unexpected time on her hands she finds herself visiting a friend in Tuscany where she meets Tony. Sparks fly and she wonders if she can break out of her comfort zone and find happiness after all.
Well this was simply a slice of Italian gorgeousness and really made me want to go back to Tuscany where I spent some time last year. It’s a joyous read, full of love, Italian food and some Hollywood glam. You can see where the story will go and I was absolutely all for it. I wanted the romance, I wanted the comeuppance, I wanted all the feels and the happy ever after, it even has a cute puppy! This will make the perfect beach read.
Thanks to Carrie Walker and Netgalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I reall enjoyed this book.
I read and loved Carrie's last book, and I couldn't wait to read this. It's such a perfect summer read. Cute, funny with a slice of romance. I loved it from cover to cover. I can't wait for the next book.
Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this escape to Tuscany.
When Abi who is a make up artist has a bad experience with a client.
She takes herself off to Tuscany for a break. Whilst there, she helps to bring in the harvest for grapes, at a vineyard which two brothers own.
In the process, she gets her own back on the client who she had that bad experience with.
I loved the setting, and some of the characters.
I recommend this book.
