This series just gets better with each book.
When Kathy Dougal joins the ATS Gunner girls she decides to leave some of her secrets at home, will they come back to haunt her!
On a visit to the local butcher, after listening to a couple of local gossips drag her reputation into the gutter, Kathy flees the shop only to go crashing into the dashing Alisdair Meikle who is bewitched by by Kathy’s glorious red hair. Unknown to Kathy, her one time friend Judith Lennox sees her and decides to use the information as a weapon at a later date.
Kathy comes from a very loving and close family, run by her mother Mary who has a heart of gold. Mary is very protective of Kathy and woe betide anyone who does anything to harm her.
There are some wonderful characters in this book, my favourite is Mary (reminded me of my Glasgow nanny)
Least favourite had to be Camilla

Well written and hoping there is more in this series .

This author’s books have the ability to simultaneously make you unable to stop reading while wishing you could bury the book somewhere deep underground where it can't be found. Compelling and didn’t want it to end!
