Chose this book because I am redecorating my bedroom and want to take bigger and bolder color risks. This definitely checked that box and will come in handy! Easy to read and understand.
I have always been drawn to the color Orange. So much so that whenever anyone asks what my favorite color is, the answer is always Orange. There is a beauty to colors and this book had me appreciating how colors can complement each other-and in a way it reminded me of what it means to have details, analysis and information in one place-plus the picturesque of Pinterest.
I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in colors, in art, in creating a balance between them be it at home, work or just for the purposes of information. Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.
This was a fun read. I especially liked the descriptions of the basic colors. Really colorful with great pictures.
As might be expected from the title, this book is visually STUNNING!! The range of interest in this book will be large and varied, as the use of colour will be relevant to those in advertising, fashion, psychology and art (surely also many more whom I have not thought of).
I was motivated to pick up the book with a view to inspiring me in artistic projects, and I feel I have learned plenty about colour from a number of different applications from this book (for example how to choose colour on the basis of the mood I want to create, to which colours work together and why.
I found the inclusion and explanation of the colour wheel particularly useful and worthy of note.
Overall this is a book with a wide appeal, I would be proud to display this beautiful work on my coffee table!

I was so excited to see this read. I colorful fun and I collect color palettes. This is a great resource for hobbyists like me, artists, decorators etc. I'll be saving this to use as a reference for a very long time!
A very interesting book about colors and how to use and combine them. Some of the information can definitely be considered basic (such as warm and cold colors, light colors, dark colors, etc.), but there is also a lot of advanced knowledge that is very helpful for people who are planning to redecorate or other artistic projects. Personally, I really liked how the author recommends compositions of specific colors to achieve desired effects such as richness or softness. The whole chapter on color psychology is also interesting - I learned a lot from it! A big plus of the publication are the beautiful, high quality photographs. Overall, it's an enjoyable read!
This deluxe 40th anniversary edition is a spectacular guide to color! A must have for designers, artists, etc., who work with color and for those readers who just love learning about hues. I want this in my personal library!
An indispensable guide to colour use and colour theory. This is an updated deluxe edition of the Colour Harmony guide. I am the social media/ event poster person where I work and find this book indispensable for composing posts and posters for marketing. So many people use Canva or similar sites to design their marketing these days, and using this book it is easy to use colour effectively. I use this book to chose an appropriate colour scheme for my project, then I adapt a Canva template and very easily I can come up with effective advertising quickly.
This book provides a beautiful, calming, fun experience of getting through the pages with ease.
I enjoyed the colour psychology parts within the second part of the book, with interesting facts on the perception and influence of particular colours - I did not know about the common perception that black boxes must weigh more than white ones.
The Complete Color Harmony is a thoroughly lovely, useful guide for those in need of a re-brand, professionals and beginners looking to improve their image - whether for business or personal use.
