Description
Seeking justice for murder, a tough female detective locks horns with a powerful man.
When an anti-social man is murdered in his home near the dreary Treadwater Estate, the police initially suspect someone within the community has taken matters into their own hands.
But DI Tara Grogan is alerted to the victim’s connection to self-made business tycoon Sebastian Logan-Sharp, who has recently returned to the city of Liverpool, and is causing a ruckus.
He is flashing cash for big development projects and investment schemes. But no one seems to like Sebastian. Not even his wife. And, from local protestors and women’s rights activists to his child’s nanny, everyone wants a piece of him.
By making him a murder suspect, DI Grogan adds herself to that list.
But once the tenacious detective goes on the warpath and enters the world of the billionaire, a fair few surprises will put her abilities truly to the test.

Another very good read in the series featuring DI Tara Grogan and set in Liverpool, although it can be read as a standalone. Filled with interesting characters, a whole cast of murder suspects, different storylines and plenty of twists, this is a good addition to the series. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.
