Description

“Our future never enters this world unannounced. It does not spring fully formed from the unknown. Our future is with us already. We have formed it piece by piece and have already built it for ourselves. Unfortunately most of us don’t recognize it, or perhaps don’t wish to acknowledge it.”

It’s the year 2066 and the human plugin, known as Chip, has taken the life of his son. The protagonist, Danl, is quite a humble man but has a strong moral compass. His passion for philosophy enables him to unlock the secrets of his future and discover some harsh realities. Could someone hate you without knowing you? Danl finds he has enemies and friends in the most unexpected places and sometimes it can be difficult to know which is which. Twists and turns as the plot unfolds leaves Danl struggling to deal with his unwanted grief. As he realises the answers are masked by layers of self-interest and lust for glory, he perseveres on his quest for justice for the sake of others. He soon discovers that the future is not about science, technology or even power, it is about the people.

The Chip Shop (Part 1) is a sci-fi adventure that will keep the reader guessing. The narrative has parallels with current economic and political issues, scientific discoveries and environmental developments. Power-hungry Chip, righteous Dahl and their respective communities represent the social hierarchy of modern day society. This forward-thinking futuristic novel will take readers beyond the realms of time. In a thrilling adventure, lead by Danl, readers can peer into the future that could be beyond our control...
