Meditation is one of my lifelong fav book and this edition is just beautiful. The reread made me realise what an introspective person Marcus Aurelius is and it’s such a voice we need in this troubling times. I will buy this as gifts to friends who are as introspective as me :) thank you to the publisher for the eARC
Emperor Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations is a go-to-book at times of joy and despair. It never disappoints and gives you the company of a wise owl.
I first read this years ago. I rarely read a book twice nowadays. When it appeared on NetGalley, I had to read this edition.
Aurelius stoic philosophy and logic are still relevant today. This is a book that you would want to read again every decade or so, discuss with your loved ones, colleagues, children and always remains a great gift.
To many, Marcus Aurelius is perhaps the best known of the Stoics. His words of wisdom have a remarkable enduring quality and continue to provide food for thought in the present day.
Here is a nice edition of the Meditations. It would make a nice gift for someone who wants to spend a few moments each day in deep thought.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for this title. All opinions are my own.
