Description

Dr Joanne Banyer is a former academic research scientist in the field of human genetics, a former national security intelligence analyst in the field of terrorist weaponry, and now leads transformation across the public sector in Australia.

On the eve of her father's sudden passing in January 2014, Joanne encountered an intelligent spirit vibrational energy, so tangible that it altered her perception of life itself. Four years later spirit energy returned, this time initiating a spiritual awakening journey to enlightenment that lasted six years.

AWAKENING I - The Beginning, is the first in a series of eleven books based on the journals that Joanne kept during her awakening journey. The series offers a true personal in-depth account of experiences as they unfolded, in what was a learning and development process guided by spirit itself. A journey that began by becoming consciously aware of the existence of spirit energy, to ending in an understanding of 'all' that Joanne is, the purpose of her life, and glimpses of what lies beyond. Along the way, Joanne was exposed to a richness and complexity of information that was not for her but is for those who will go on to prove the existence of intelligent energy for the sake of humanity. Only a full of understanding of what humans are, and why we are here, will lead to a change in human nature, which is what is needed to break the cycle of humanity harming each other and this planet.

In 'Awakening 1: The Beginning', Dr. Joanne Banyer takes readers on an intimate journey through her personal spiritual awakening, using journaling as a powerful tool for exploring the subtleties of spiritual experience. As the title suggests, this book marks the beginning of Banyer's awakening, chronicling the gradual unfolding of her heightened awareness and the ways in which Spirit communicates through the clair senses.

Through Banyer's honest and evocative entries, we witness the gradual expansion of her consciousness, as she becomes more attuned to the gentle nudges, synchronicities, and intuitive insights that point the way towards deeper self-understanding and connection with Spirit. The author's willingness to vulnerably share her journey encourages readers to pay closer attention to their own spiritual experiences, which may often manifest in quiet, almost imperceptible ways.

One of the book's greatest strengths is Banyer's ability to articulate the nuances of spiritual awakening, describing the sensations, impressions, and inner knowings that arise through the clair senses - clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and the like. Her detailed accounts offer readers a relatable frame of reference for recognizing and validating their own nascent spiritual gifts and intuitive capabilities.

Overall, 'Awakening 1: The Beginning' is an inspiring work that underscores the transformative power of journaling as a tool for self-discovery and spiritual growth. Banyer's courage in sharing her journey is sure to resonate with readers seeking to deepen their connection with feeling Spirit and awaken to the magic that permeates everyday life.

If you've read any of my other recent book reviews, you can probably recite this first paragraph word for word ;-) I'll assume that this is the first review of mine that you've read though and say that each book I read and review starts off with the full load of stars and I'm always hopeful that they will still still be firmly in place by the time I close the back cover. You'll also know that I'm not shy about saying goodbye to stars but I always give my reasons for removing them within the review - they don't just vanish.

Let's get on with the reading and reviewing now shall we?

The first few pages of this book filled me with utter dread as the author was talking about her jobs and career in science and using scientific words that I haven't got the foggiest clue about. I was pretty much ready to close the book and publish this review saying that it was dull and boring and didn't live up to the authors hype but I forced myself to continue and I'm glad I did because I'm starting to get a feel of where this book is heading and it's in a much-preferred direction, way more spiritual than being some kind of scientific CEO of something or other.

This book just gets better and better! I've been hearing music (like is played in a pub) while I'm sat in the living room but disappears as soon as I stand up... I've never put 2 and 2 together but I'm wondering if it's Spirit trying to communicate with me? I haven't heard it at all today, since I started reading the book this morning, which could be another pointer, right? I'm itchy all over my body now... could that be another sign from Spirit??

Oh dear, the most common reason for me dropping a star has just come up with the use of an online video playing website being used a few times so in fairness to other books I've read, a star is coming off at 62%.

I'm up to 81% now and I'm still enjoying it... definitely worth a read if you are interested in the afterlife!

Just finished reading and I've appreciated every word. It's opened my eyes to what may be happening to me and it's made me want to find out more. Basically, if you are interested in spirituality and especially what happens when we pass away, then you should pop this book into your basket and curl up for an interesting few hours!
