This is a fun book of some Christmas recipes. I like the variety of choices and the "new and improved" approach to some of the common recipes we all make during the holiday season. I would say it is taking our parents and grandparents classic recipes and giving them an excellent modern upgrade.
And the font in this book is awesome. That really drew my eye and I found it very easy to read. The pictures are very vibrant and eye-catching. I'm so hungry now!

I must admit, I am thrilled to have gotten my hands on this book! As someone from another country, I make an effort to cook American meals for my husband. However, my attempts to Americanize dishes from my own culture have not always been successful.
Upon first glance, the book appears quite festive, and I am already excited about the meal ideas it contains. Several appetizers, main courses, and baked goods have already caught my eye! The photos are lovely, and the layout is easy to navigate. The recipes are straightforward and seem quite simple to follow. Measurements are provided in cups or spoons, with metric system measurements included for more experienced cooks. Baking and cooking instructions are given in both Fahrenheit and Celsius.
I can't wait to get a hard copy!

I hope that every home-cook will have this book on their bookshelf by December first! The book is full of Christmas spirit from the first page with aesthetically pleasing pages and easy to follow recipes most of which have photos to accompany them. It offers fantastic ideas for Christmas entertaining, I especially loved the punny names for the recipes & the handy festive tips.
This book would be a wonderful addition for cooks of all ages.
★★★★★
Great Christmas cookbook - more aimed for US market but great there are uk measurements in there too. Loved the festive names of the puddings! Great selection of different cuisines too.
This is such a really lovely cook book. Not only are the recipes festive and wonderful, but they are easy to make and really will add something extra special over the Christmas period. The illustrations are really cute. This is definitely one to buy for the kitchen shelf:)
Ahhhh.. Christmas. I do love Christmas and I do love cooking so this book is right up my alley. 50 Recipes to Rediscover the Magic of the Season and I am ready to start the magic. With so many interesting and tasty recipes this book will be a go to for my Christmas preparations and I may even start experimenting now.
There are some great notes, hints, tips and more to get you going and make your life easier at this stressful time of year. The photos are wonderful and cheery, This is a cosy, cheerful and very festive little book and I am enjoying the festive holiday vibes already. Bring on Christmas.
Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Rock Point for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
I wasn't in the Christmas mood last year, and I'm hoping this isn't the case this year. When I saw this one I was excited. The layout is easy to follow. The pictures are gorgeous. And the names of the recipes are so adorable
This is the cutest Christmas cookbook i've ever read I loved the festive names on the recipes and the varied ideas for nibbles and party foods as well.
What I liked about the recipes is the simplicity of them, nothing felt out of reach or too difficult for me to make and i love that. That's what Christmas is all about!
Some of the recipes that stood out to me were
Home for the holidays charcuterie
Mamas lasagna cups
Rudolph's reindeer burgers
Have some pumpkin pie creme brulee and do some caroling (what a name!)
I'll definitely be trying those creme brulees! Lovely cookbook with lovely pictures and illustrations
Coming from a large Italian family, cooking is our love language, especially around the holidays. Needless to say, I found this cookbook at the perfect time and cannot wait to make more recipes from it! It's perfect and has something for everyone. Plus, the names are precious. What's not to love? I highly recommend.
For anyone who thinks about the holiday season well in advance, here is a book for you. Instead of the blazing sunshine that I have today, I will think of fireplace warmth as I peruse these recipes.
The chapters are a bit whimsically named. For example, one is title Yummy Stocking Stuffer Sides, while another is Deck the Halls with Sips & Sugar.
The recipes seem easy to follow. The illustrations are inspiring. See for example the Ho, Ho Holiday Appetizer Wreath. For another appetizer, consider Santa Suit Button Mushrooms. Keeping with adorable recipe/illustration, see the one for Rudolph’s Reindeer Burgers. A nice looking dessert is the Joyeux Dark Cherry Clafoutis.
All in all, this cookbook teams up the cute and the tasty. It seems perfect for its audience.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for this title. All opinions are my own.
Wow, what a wonderful, festive new take on traditional Christmas dishes from all over the world! This Christmas cookbook not only has beautiful, delectable pictures of the majority of the dishes, but the cutest little notes and tidbits throughout. And the charming artwork really helps to add even more Christmas spirit throughout. The author did a wonderful job of adding simple recipes along with more detailed ones to help anyone cook their way through this book. And most of the recipes have easily accessible ingredients for ease of cooking. I went and preordered this after reading it on NetGalley.
What a delightful cookbook!
New and exciting recipes are featured and they are filled to the brim with festive cheer.
If you love Christmas and cooking/baking, then this wonderfully illustrated cookbook deserves a place on your shelf.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.
This is one of the most adorable cookbooks I've ever seen.
I'm always chasing nostalgia when it comes to cookbooks, and this one delivers.
Each page looks like it was created in the 1950s and 60s with kitschy art that is sure to win the heart over everyone who misses Christmas at grandma's house.
The recipes are simple, so it would be excellent for intergenerational cooking. The book also contains US and metric measurements, allowing it to be adored internationally. There is a wide range of recipes, so vegetarians will be happy.
I particularly liked how many of the recipe titles were punny, like "Simply Having a Wonderful Celery Soup". It adds to the coziness of the entire book.
This would be an excellent book to add to any collection. Moreso, this would be an even better gift for anyone who is wanting to add a new cookbook to their home collection.
I love love love cookbooks. I love being able to see what I want to make, and all of the recipes in here look delicious not to mention festive. I bookmarked quite a few I want to try out.
As a big fan of the festive season, this book ticks all of my boxes - cosy/cozy it most certainly is!
Someone definitely had fun naming these recipes - ‘quiche me under the mistletoe’ anyone?!
Not your typically calorie-ridden feast, rather a nod to health and nutrition is made between the pages of this lovely book, (though it also has its fair share of indulgence as is required at this time of year!)
Particular highlights for me include 'Mrs Claus' chocolate on chocolate cake' and 'Rudolph's reindeer burgers' (which look utterly adorable and will be served to my resident small people at some point during this wonderful season for sure!)
The book is sectioned with punchy titles into what is broadly: starters/appetisers, mains, side dishes, and drinks/desserts.
Selling points of this book for me also include the stunning photography and the fact that measurements for recipes are given in cups/tablespoons and grams. All in all, a book of pure (cozy) joy!
My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

Love how many vegan dessert options there were, they all sounded really good and not too complex which is great. I would recommend this book.

Right off the bat, this cookbook drew me in with its adorably cozy aesthetic with little illustrated Christmas motifs throughout and whimsical chapter and recipes names (12+ Appetizers of Christmas, Deck the Halls with Sips and Sugar, Quiche Me Under the Mistletoe). Not all of the recipes are themed, but they’re all a perfect fit for your holiday meals. Who could resist appetizers in the shape of a wreath or cute reindeer themed burgers?
The recipes have clear directions and accessible ingredients measured in both cups and grams. Best of all, nearly every recipe is accompanied by a luscious full page photo that has me wanting to make them all!

Amazing recipes, can't wait for Christmas season.
There are 50 recipes, some vegan, some sweet along with anecdotes and tips.
It's good for oneself but also as a christmas present.
This was the most perfect christmas cookbook ever. I made. Not only is it SO CUTE but the food all looks amazing! I’ve only made the Cinnamon Cozy Carrot Cake but it was perfect and I will be buying the book to try the rest!
Beautiful, pun-filled recipes that seem easy to follow and make. I especially liked the mini-quiche's, white christmas nog, and the vegan mac and cheese recipes. I also liked that there wasn't just a few recipes that are considered "normal" christmas food but that there were other good foods (again with punny names!) like the fajitas or purple potatoes that also sound really good to eat and make.
This is a great cookbook for cozy and easy Christmastime meals!
The charming introductions and descriptions make it really enjoyable to use, and I love the word plays in the names of the dishes!
Adorable graphics and great photos of the recipes make the book extremely appealing. I like that measurements are provided in both ounces and grams, inches and centimeters, etc. and cups are given an equivalent in grams.
I'm glad it has recipes for different skill levels, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow.
