Description
Find peace at the end of the day with Sunset Gratitude, a collection of 365 beautifully illustrated guided meditations that will ease your worries when life feels uncertain.
Written with encouragement and compassion, this companion to Moonlight Gratitude and Sunrise Gratitude prompts you to find hope and gratitude rather than to let life’s worries get the best of you. Focusing on the transition from day to night, these meditations are meant to be done during dusk, twilight, and sunset, the time when you may need a glimpse of hope the most.
Without using toxic positivity, Sunset Gratitude invites you to practice each meditation with real empathy. Drawing on universal themes of nature, the meditations connect you with hope and gratitude as the sun sets.
Sample Meditations:
"When a tree falls down, it offers nourishment to the forest floor. There is a richness within the tree as it provides sustenance and shelter to the understory of the forest. The same can be true when we fall. Failure doesn’t mean we are not valuable. Failure is a redirection to the path we are meant to be on. Embracing the cycles of growth, decay, and rebirth can help us move forward during times of breakdown. Your life is full of value."
“Living in a space that feels in between is difficult, especially if it feels like it’s lasting forever. If you’re in a liminal space, focus on the goodness that is happening right now. Surrender all the desires that keep your heart from being present. What is meant for you will happen. Sometimes letting go is what needs to happen so we can receive what’s on its way.”
Easily implement calm, gratitude, and meditation into your daily habits with the Daily Gratitude series. I found this book to be a really wonderful meditation resource. Each day has a succinct paragraph-long meditation practice that uses examples from human experience and nature to help us more appropriately understand our feelings and how to approach day-to-day life.
We often take many situations as fact without questioning, such as the need to circle the airport a time or two in flight if there is too much air traffic for landing, a river flowing through a canyon, the way the sun sets vibrantly before an incoming storm -- but we're so hard on ourselves for the things we cannot control. I appreciated the perspective these little snippets brought to the forefront of thought.
The colour palette used for this book is really lovely and calming. All the little lessons for each day of the year flow nicely with the colours. The aesthetics in a book such as this are very important for looking within.
As always, I went straight to my birthday to see what changes or challenges that day may bring me.
"Sunset Gratitude" is an absolutely stunning book that radiates warmth and calm. The affirmations are beautifully crafted and thoughtful, making each page a soothing experience. The combination of warm pastel colours and gorgeous sunset photos adds to the overall tranquillity, making this book a perfect companion for moments of reflection. It's not just a book—it's a peaceful escape that leaves you feeling centred and grateful.
This title is part of a series by the author. I will look for the others. I find this to be a book that I would look forward to picking up each evening. It provides a quick time to reflect on life and to find that, sometimes elusive, sense of gratitude. Looking for a moment of calm? If so, buy this book.
