Thank you Quarto Publishing Group & Netgalley for the digital ARC! I enjoyed reading this book and looking at the illustrations. There were some volcanoes that I knew about and then there were others that I didn’t know anything about. This is perfect for children who want to learn about volcanoes.
A look at volcanoes around the world! This was full on fun facts about volcanoes in general at the beginning and then it goes through various ones around the world. I learned a lot in this I didn’t know! I thought it was really interesting and still in an easy format for kids to understand. I also enjoyed the illustrations.
I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this book. So informative and visual, with a mixture of illustrations and photos explaining everything about volcanoes and those around the world.
This would be great to support classroom learning and for those with a special interest. I learned lots I didn't know in a reader friendly way
Highly recommend.
This was a perfect book for homeschooling for my girls. They loved reading about all the different volcanos and learned so many facts.
Volcano Atlas is a wonderful book for any kid interested in science or geology. Filled with captivating illustrations and hundreds of interesting facts, it’s a treasure trove of knowledge for young minds. Even as an adult, I found that I couldn’t put it down.
The layout is easy to read with a main facts box that is repeated under each volcano spread with pertinent information like type of volcano, size and number of eruptions. Other smaller boxes offer up other snippets of data. I appreciated the inclusion of mythology as well because it added to the richness of the stories.
This is a amazing book that I’d highly recommend for readers of any age.
There are lots more volcanoes beyond the Ring of Fire around the Pacific Ocean, even in Iceland and Antarctica. Here we learn how they work, types, features, the local and worldwide effects of their activity in the 64pp including a glossary and index.
The illustrations by Maggie Li are a variety of illustration/information styles which engages the mind and is easy on the eyes.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age (listed as 6-9 but I really enjoyed it and learned new things at 78!) including ESL, and great for gifting to EVERYONE, but especially to a school, hospital, or your local public library! Be sure to get one for yourself!
I requested and received a free temporary EARC on Adobe Digital Editions from Quarto Publishing Group | words & pictures via NetGalley. Thank you!
