Your favourite anti-heroine, Kitty Collins, is back! Expect more wit, sass, and, of course, murder…

'I was rooting for Kitty even as she killed more men (oops!). Funny and twisty in the best of ways' Tasha Coryell

***********************************************

My name is Kitty Collins and I’m a serial killer.

I don’t want to kill. It’s just so hard to resist. Some men really, really deserve it.

Men like Blaze Bundy, an anonymous influencer spreading misogyny online. He’s making it very hard for me to control my murderous urges.

Meanwhile I’m in the South of France to watch my mother marry a man I’ve never met. I should be drinking cocktails and focusing on my tan, not plotting a murder.

But a woman’s work is never done. Surely one more teensy little kill wouldn’t hurt, would it?

*********************************************

'Forget everything else on your TBR because Kitty is back, and she is as feminist, funny and furious as ever… Brent is brilliant at cutting right to the (literal) heart of misogyny, using her trademark acerbic humour' Amy Beashel

'Darkly hilarious… Come for the sharp-tongue prose and pitch-black comedy, stay for the careful dismantling of toxic masculinity' Laurie Elizabeth Flynn

Fans of How to Kill Your Family and Bad Sisters will love this deliciously dark, hilariously twisted new novel from the author of How to Kill Men and Get Away With It and The Murder After the Night Before.

Readers are obsessed with Kitty Collins:

I'd like to start by saying how incredibly honoured I was to be invited to read the new Katy Brent novel by the publishers. This is the highly anticipated sequel to her first novel How to Kill Men and Get Away With it.

Kitty has had a bit of a detox since her last "spree" and she's doing really well - settled down with her boyfriend Charlie, enjoying the quiet life free from the chore of killing off toxic men. But she's got an itch, is still obsessed about how she wants to get rid of all the toxic masculinity and a new presence on social media is making it hard not to scratch!

The "new presence" is Blaze, a mysterious male who has amassed a following spewing misogynistic hatred all over the internet. He's vile, think of that man whose name I refuse to give a footprint to, but it rhymes with curfew fate!!!

To be honest, I was pretty sure I'd figured out who he was early on and I was delighted to be proved wrong. There are plenty of red herrings scattered throughout - enough to keep me guessing. Katy Brent has a wicked sense of humour, and her protagonist Kitty is one of my favourite fictional characters. You can completely understand why she does what she does, and the murdering and humour run parallel to a very observant social commentary on toxic men.

I laughed, I cried, I squirmed as people got dismembered and laughed some more. Another absolute gem from Katy, I stayed up till 2am to finish and I already want some more. A definite auto-buy author for me, everything she does is golden.

Kitty Collins just can't help herself.

She's at it again.

She does try, really she does, but there are just SO many obnoxious men wasting good oxygen that it's a duty to humankind to...remove them

More brilliant murderous mayhem

I absolutely loved this book. It was genius and I wasn’t putting it down until I’d finished.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC in return for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Kitty is back and she does not disappoint.
Following on from the previous book we think Kitty has turned her back on her killing ways. She's in love and in a therapy group. Between finding out her mother is getting married to a man she has never met and hearing the awful ways the other women in the therapy group have been treated by men it's hardly surprising that she has to give in to temptation.
As we follow Kitty's journey we are left wondering who is the mysterious influencer that is threatening her life. Is it someone we know, is it someone new, is it someone unexpected and why ate they doing it.
The scenes set out are so descriptive it's like you are there. Living it with her. The twists are amazing, the surprises just keep coming and the ending..... well, we will see what Kitty is up to next.

Katy Brent is back with the next instalment of our beloved serial killer Kitty Collins.

She is in love and on her best behaviour. She’s not killed anyone in a while. However, there are some men out there who just need to be taken car off.

She’s joined a support group and the stories she hears are giving her murderous ideas. It’s also not helping that an anonymous social media influencer has it in for her.

To make matters worse her mother has arrived back in town for a visit. She’s been living in the south of France and about to marry a man Kitty knows nothing about.

Could Kitty be returning to her old ways.

I absolutely love Kittys character. I can’t wait for the next book.

Deviously Dark..
Kitty Collins is back in this deviously dark sequel to the first in the series and, despite her very best efforts, she is finding it increasingly difficult not to revert back to her murderous ways. After all, there is just so much temptation. With a perfectly drawn anti heroine, a sprightly narrative littered with dark humour and even darker thoughts and an ample scattering of red herrings, this is a worthy and thoroughly engaging follow up.

I was SO excited to hear that Katy Brent was releasing this sequel because I ADORED the first. Kitty Collins character is like no other and I’m so glad she’s back! I didn’t think it would be possible but I actually thought this was even better than the first book. The storyline was brilliant all the way through, I loved the mystery of not knowing who Blaze Bundy was, I was constantly guessing people throughout (and was always wrong). There’s two main things that I think make these books work so well and it’s that there’s such an important topic involved with patriarchy and misogyny, toxic relationships and behaviours and it’s such an important subject. I think the support group worked really well in recognising and understanding what women experience, you genuinely understand the anger and frustration of Kitty, there was a line in there about the justice system that will always stick with me! The other thing that makes the book work so well is that where there’s this serious topic, there’s also so much humour! I love how sarcastic Kitty is and the dark humour gives a great balance to the story, I loved the additional characters, they all had great chemistry and as previously said, the storyline stayed strong all the way through. It was a brilliant read, I highly recommend it and I will continue to read everything that Katy Brent releases because she’s such an incredible author.

Kitty is back, baby!! My favourite vegan serial killer taking one bad man down at a time is back with a vengeance and I LOVED it! Kitty is losing it a bit in this one and I found it so relatable (ok, murdery bits aside!) but the emotions and goes through rang true and the frustration she feels at the worries us women have to face on a daily basis are REAL! Katy has nailed it again, and will forever be an auto buy author for me! I thought I had figured things out early on, but Katy tricked me with her clever story telling and the twists were brilliant!!

I will be doing a full Instagram post and review soon so will update this review ASAP! But I love, love, LOVED it!

Many thanks to NetGalley, HQ and Katy Brent for the ARC of ‘I Bet You’d Look Good in a Coffin’ in return for an honest review.

I have read all of this author’s novels and have loved them so was delighted to receive this ARC and it did not disappoint. This is a sequel to ‘How to Kill Men and Get Away With it’ which introduced Kitty who has, since then, been trying to stop killing men. She has settled down with Charlie and attending an anger management group.

It all goes wrong and is hilarious. There are many twists and turns. Her hater, Blaze, who haunts and stalks her on social media follows her to France for her mother’s wedding to a guy Kitty has never met.

Highly recommended

Another outing for the wonderful Kitty Collins, and this book is certainly as good as the previous one. I Bet You'd Look Good in a Coffin is an outrageous, but very funny book, and I am looking forward to reading about Kitty's next adventures.

Kitty Collins is back. She is very loved up with boyfriend Charlie and trying her very best not to kill anymore men. But can she resist when she sees them destroying so many women? And now her mum is getting re-married. Has she gone for another bad man like her father who she had to kill? Does she really want to go to the wedding and face the mum she has avoided for years?
Honestly, this book is fantastic. I didn't think it could be as good as the first story 'How to kill men and get away with it' - this book really surpasses it and brings kitty into her own. I loved all of this book and some amazing new characters are introduced. There are some fantastic twists and some laugh out loud moments. It is even left open at the end for another sequel. I just hope Katy Brent is working in it now. I can't wait. One of those books that you just don't want to end. Highly recommended.

Kitty is back at last, I loved the first instalment of this series and I flew through this book. The author is writes so different compared to others and it grabs your attention and very witty in parts. This author is now on my auto buy list and will read anything she writes. Loved this book still prefer the first one but that could just be me but this definitely didn't disappoint. Gave 4.5 stars but rounded up to 5 for this review. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for this arc.

Kitty Collins is back and she does not disappoint!

I was lucky enough to be given an ARC copy of I Bet You’d Look Good In A Coffin by Katy Brent. This second instalment of our favourite murderess is just as witty, dark and grippy as the first.

It has been a year since her last kill and despite living with her boyfriend Charlie and being happy, something is missing… Everywhere she looks there are awful men who to her are just asking for her attention, especially an influencer called Blaze Bundy. He has his sights set on kitty however she has no idea who he is, but knows his content and behaviour towards female is dangerous and has to stop. Whilst all of this is unwrapping and Kitty is trying to figure things out her mum is back in her life and has taken both Kitty and Charlie to the South of France for her wedding.

If you haven’t read Katy’s previous two books then you have time as this is published February 13th 2025 and definitely worth a pre-order. It is not one to miss 🔪🍾🫶🏼

Oh this was absolutely fantastic!
A great addition to the series i absolutely could not put it down. Highly highly recommend. Great characters, fast paced kept me hooked from start to finish

I've just finished this book and I have to admit I stayed up until midnight as I wanted to know what happened. Despite the main character being a serial killer, it was more a light read than a mystery /thriller,, Obviously knowing who the killer was at the beginning and her thoughts meant I wasn't thinking about suspects etc. She also killed to protect women so I'm hoping she's not caught and is the character in more books first.

I LOVED how to Kill Men and get away with it and I was so excited to get my hands on this next installment of Kitty Collins' life.

I love stepping in to the world of the abboitire heiress, vegan serial killer Kitty Collins. She is fiercely protective of the ones she loves and she will go out of her way to stop anyone who hurts them. A year on from her last killing we know it's going to take some seriously misogyny and/or attack on her loved ones to spark another killing, and boy that character doesn't disappoint. This book tackles some serious topics for women in the most hilarious, clever and sometimes downright gory ways. I love the way Katy Brent writes to just draw the reader in and keep us locked there wanting to put off the rest of our day to keep following Kitty and her story. I'll read Katy's shopping list at this point. I've loved everything she's written.

A welcome return of Kitty- who is trying her hardest not to murder obnoxious men but, lets face it, so many of them are asking for it!
Loved it!

Kitty is back! 🔪🩸 I actually cannot fault this book at all. If you loved the first one then you will love this one even more. Kitty is as epic and hilarious as ever but I also feel like the deeper message within the book is more profound in this one than it was in the first.

The sisterhood and female empowerment vibes are IMMACULATE and I bloody loved it!

I'm so glad Kitty made a return and this book did not disappoint!
Absolutely hilarious and I just couldn't put it down. I really hope Katy continues this series.
If you haven't read the first one you'd probably be best to read it before this.

The easiest 5 stars I've given this year!

I Bet You'd Look Good In a Coffin, what a book! I was so excited to have been approved for the advance egalley of this one, thank you so much HQ and Netgalley, all opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Kitty is back! I enjoyed that the story continues on from How To Kill Men and Get Away With It, with Kitty still in a relationship with Charlie, and friends Tor and Maisie are still present. Kitty turns 30, her social media influencer days behind her. Her mother is getting married and there's a mysogynistic new influencer, Blaze Bundy, spreading his vile opinions online making it hard for Kitty to control her urges to kill.....

I love the ease of reading. The book was written so well and drew me in keeping me hooked right up until the end. I like that the book covered current issues- how addictive and consuming social media can be, and how it relates to the MeToo movement.

I enjoyed seeing how Kitty reunited with her mother, the misunderstandings that she faced upon meeting her mother's fiance.... I also made a few assumptions myself, about who Blaze Bundy was, only to be completely wrong! I especially liked the twists in the story at the end....

I am looking forward to the possibility of a third book? Katy Brent and HQ please, please make this happen! I'd love to see how the ending of this book plays out......

Also, the reference to 'Bad Blood' was brilliant! Absolutely loved this book, thank you again HQ and Netgalley for the opportunity to read early,

Killer Kitty is back for another hugely entertaining murder-spree romp, this time in the South of France!

Once again, Katy Brent has pulled it off again; making you love a serial killer who so often gets things wrong and making you laugh along the way, even though your sensible head says murder is not a funny topic. With its glamorous location and moneyed pretty people, "Coffin" is the perfect read for a winter night with your feet-up on the sofa in front of the fire while the weather does its worst outside.

With the Kitty books, I'm increasingly reminded of Jilly Cooper's novels; they're definitely not to be taken seriously and are really great diversions with their aristocrats and glitterati behaving badly until shown up by a good-hearted hero or heroine - except Kitty is more of an anti-heroine with her murderous streak, albeit with the best of intentions. With Cooper about to return to our televisions, I think it's time for the new girl on the block to hit the screen...

Kitty Collins isn't evil. Not really. Admittedly, she does kill people, that's true, but only occasionally and usually only when she feels she has no real alternative.
And there's one other thing. She does absolutely love the act of murder itself. For Kitty's targets are not random or indiscriminate. They are all men, Specifically men who have used, abused or generally mistreated women in some way. And as she and many woman will know for themselves, there are many such men around, prowling around the streets and parks of our towns, skulking around our workplaces and offices and stalking our cities' pubs and nightclubs.
This is Katy Brent's third novel and the second to feature the homicidal Kitty, a character who we were first introduced to in Brent's fast-paced and funny feminist page-turner, How To Kill Men and Get Away With It (2023). This winning sequel sees Kitty adapting to her new life after the events of the first book, attending anger management classes in a bid to curtail her violent tendencies and desperately attempting to keep things going with her dream boyfriend, Charlie, who is totally oblivious to Kitty's secret life of murder. Throw into the mix some extra anxiety about the approaching marriage of Kitty's estranged mother in the South of France, not to mention the arrival of the Andrew Tate-like misogynistic social media influencer, Blaze Bundy and we have a fun-filled, violent, sexy sequel which is every bit as enjoyable as the talented Katy Brent's previous two novels, if not more so.

Kitty, kitty, kitty! What have you been doing?!

Amazing, truly amazing. Absolutely devoured this book in an embarrassing amount of time. I honestly think it’s on par, if not better than the first! (And I bloody loved the first book).

Kitty is as unhinged as ever whilst channeling her inner feminist, crime fighting, serial killer energy. Her body count is double figures; and I don’t mean sex.

I was HOWLING at certain things in this book I.e ways she was going to kill a certain someone and the final few chapters where the “kitty songs” are spoken about.

I actually got the identity of Blaze wrong!! Not even on one occasion but 3. He was insufferable and I was 2 steps away from joining Kitty.

In the second instalment of Kitty Collins’ life; we follow her as she joins a female anger management group, attends her mothers wedding abroad and discovers a new misogynistic social influencer named Blaze Bundy who is more than a little clued up on who and what Kitty does.

I wasn’t sure how Katy would manage continuing the killer story of Kitty Collins but clearly I had nothing to worry about.

A perfect and dare I say realistic (is that too insane?) continuation of Kittie’s story. What do you do after revenge killing so many men? I really liked how the story developed, and the use of a vial misogynistic ‘influencer’ in this day and age was perfect!

The ending chef’s kiss. I can’t believe we got set up for a book 3. Cannot bloody wait!

Thank you so much to Katy Brent’s team and netgalley for providing me with an e-arc in exchange for an honest review

It is definitely worth reading the first book!

See I love Kitty, I think that this book effortlessly mixes fashion with wit and I enjoy all of it. I don’t even mind the suspense of disbelief.

This book on a much more important level speaks for women. The sheer amount of terrible masculinity in this book is not an exaggeration, it’s daily existence and the author has done an incredible job of making this book light in parts but unbelievably recognisable.

I would recommend this book series to all women. Why not give it a try, I guarantee you will enjoy it.

I received this ARC from NetGalley in return for an honest review which this is.

KATY BRENT HAS DONE IT AGAIN.

This is a sequel to Kitty Collins story and there is so much to unpack here. First of, the fact I am rooting for a serial killer. I mean, I can't lie Kitty is flawed but I can't help wanting to support her. Therapy would be a much less stressful route for her Anger but she just can't help herself. No spoilers but the ending of this book REALLY is giving. There is so much going on and so much I hope gets touched on in a third book (Please). I couldn't, and didn't put this book down.

Thank you NetGalley and HQ for the ARC, it is an honour!

If you haven’t read the first book in this series - do it immediately.
I loved this as much as the first book and it’s not often a sequel achieves this.
Witty, modern and brutal.
Kitty Collins has got a little bit of us all in her and this book didn’t not disappoint at all.
I really hope there’s a third! I’ve loved this!

A follow up, and such a fun read! I truly hope we will get more books in the series, since it has been really interesting to read Kitty's adventures!

Just fabulous! Our favourite vegan, female serial killer is back. Kitty Collins is a wonderful character, with a heart of gold and sharp tongue, she will do anything to protect those she loves, and I mean anything. She dresses well, has amazing shoes and is now living with her boyfriend, Charlie. And she should be happy.. but something is missing.

It has been a year since her last kill and she is getting that itch again. Every where she looks there are awful men who are just asking for her attention., especially an influencer called Blaze Bundy. He has his sights set on Kitty and she has no idea who he is, but knows that his content is dangerous. In top of all of this, her mother is back in her life and is getting married.

This was so fun to read, but with a serious theme for women. It is sassy, it is clever and it is funny. Yes ok, it is also dark, gory and messy, but that is also fun right?! I will read anything Katy Brent writes, she has a way of just getting the reader hooked and not letting go.

Published on January 30th, 2025, this will be perfect beach reading for us Aussies. Thank you HQ for the super early copy to read.

I Bet You’d Look Good in a Coffin is a darkly humorous and thrilling read that kept me utterly captivated from start to finish. The protagonist grapples with her murderous impulses while navigating the stunning backdrop of the South of France, where she is meant to celebrate her mother’s marriage to a man she has never met. Instead of indulging in sun-soaked relaxation, she finds herself contemplating the fate of Blaze Bundy, a notorious online influencer spreading misogyny.

The author’s wit shines through as the narrative balances suspense and comedy, making it difficult to put down. I was genuinely surprised by the twists and turns throughout the story; despite thinking I had it all figured out, the revelations caught me completely off guard. This book is a fantastic blend of dark themes and clever storytelling, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it!
