Description

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
Meanwhile a star-dusted sleigh blazed through the sky,
With a dragon-shaped reindeer fifty-feet high …

It's Christmas Eve, but Santa is nowhere to be seen. Luckily, Sir Wayne and Dragon are happy to step in. They know all Santa's moves – they're terrific with tinsel, their wrapping is rocking and just LOOK how much stuff they can fit in a stocking! But that's not all . . . They've got another trick up their sleeve that will make this Christmas go off with a show-stopping, snow-hopping, bum-popping BOOM . . .

An explosively funny retelling of Clement C. Moore's classic poem 'The Night Before Christmas' from the bestselling creator of The Dragon with the Blazing Bottom series.

This is a giddy and cute read, even for its depictions of the characters.
A cool Christmas gift and read.
If you liked this one, I recommend the first book with the same characters. Reading this with my 9 year old was a great journey down the memory lane.

Absolute Christmas cracker of a book. I actually giggled when I previewed this at the thought of children’s reactions! Today I read it aloud to a few 7 and 8 yr olds who were absolutely spellbound. Laughed at the antics of Sir Wayne and dragon, went green at the idea of chocolate sprout pie and roared with laughter when blazing bottoms are mentioned! Very funny without being unnecessarily rude. A great book for the festive season!

A festive “windy delight “ as Sir Wayne and Dragon return for Christmas to help deliver gifts as Father Christmas is stuck in Spain.
But with so much to do how can they speed things up… well a blazing farting rear end might just help things with a boom and a blast!

Using the classic The Night Before Christmas as its poetic form, this will be a delight for young readers and Ks 1 classes who want some Yuletide laughs.
The words are pitch perfect and will soon be repeated by young listeners and readers.

Following on for the Knight, Princess and Dragon with Blazing Bottoms, this a great addition to a comical series

Great bedtime story or a wonderful read at the end of a busy day in the class
The illustrations like previous books in the series are pitch perfect to add even more fun

Beach has created a comical delight that could become a festive classic

Last time (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/4413832415) we met a knight, and a dragon whose bottom did eventually fart fire, but it was a bit of an off-kilter origins story all told. Here we're still not getting much in the way of toilet humour for the young, so I won't be coming here for that again. I will still turn up for the superlative rhymed narrative – the couplets here may be on the slightly obvious side but they build into a wonderful story to recite out loud. We go in perfect order from the "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" opening to a blazing bottom burp, and even if the traditional opening is not continued to the end this is a book that will have staying power. But I won't be the only one expecting a bit more farting...
