Description

In this mesmerizing and hilarious exploration of music’s transformative power, Doctor Mizzieri and his partner Gelsomina are propelled into a journey where music bends reality itself.

Deceived by his enigmatic pupil Praterius, they find themselves at the edge of enlightenment—and madness—driven by innovations in music that blur the lines between reality and illusion. From AI-inspired propaganda like the Mexican Robin Hood, La Carambada, to musically triggered blockchains and Crotox, a cryptocurrency based on skin-rejuvenators, the stakes are high.

Navigate between mundane and surreal worlds, traveling from the forested hills of New York to the mountaintop Italian city of Ravello, the forgotten corners of Venice where those unfit for technology are exiled, and finally, deep into the South American rainforest, where the environment itself becomes a living symphony.

But as music reshapes their reality, the question arises: will it elevate human consciousness or lead to submission under Praterius’s sinister ambitions?

Can music—when wielded wisely—save the mortal soul or doom it?

In this mesmerizing and hilarious exploration of music’s transformative power, Doctor Mizzieri and his partner Gelsomina are propelled into a journey where music bends reality itself.

Musicians develop personal leitmotifs as they navigate between mundane and extraordinary worlds. Will it save the soul? Engaged in battles with dissonant harmonies and immoral regimes, these musicians will attempt to reconcile the paradoxes of human nature, proving music can indeed save the soul.

The fantasy-science fiction novel is funny. I laughed while reading it. Yet,.I actually consider it speculative science fiction. It’s an enjoyable book. I did find it difficult to explain what this book is about. I hope that you will read the book and enjoy it as much as I did.

I ran across this book as i was looking through the available humor and satire options and thought the title was well worth giving it a read.

I was not disappointed when I dove into this book and found it to be fun, funny, and full of satire and wit..

We start with the opening scene of going to a boutique in New York where the guests are lured in with the promise of one guest speaker, only to have a crypto-bro try to convince them to get "Gotox" aka Botox as a form of cryptocurrency. Honestly, I was hooked from there.

The world evolves into music becoming the very fabric of life. I know this sounds odd, but it's sci-fi and as another person mentioned, a sort of speculative fiction. There is a really unique blend of music and technology which I haven't seen done in the same way. There is also quite a bit of moral questioning which often comes when new technologies are emerging.

I do wonder how this book would have come across had I had an audiobook version. I received an e-book and fully enjoyed it but would have loved to be emersed in the world with a musical accompaniment. If music has the ability shape reality, then I guess I will be along for the rollercoaster ride which comes of it.
