Advance Praise
This is a very well-conceived and well-developed book designed to help teenagers with the always-challenging world of money, savings, budgeting, and spending. The author uses real world examples to deliver her key points (“an asset is your phone, a liability is the money you owe a friend who paid for your movie ticket”). Really liked the little proposed Activities embedded throughout each section—they sounded like fun. The “Penny-a-Day Challenge” was clever.
The book might be a bit long and wordy for the attention span of a young middle-schooler (easy for older teens) but the principles are sound and on target. I actually think it would serve as an excellent guide for teachers, youth workers, and church groups. I heartily recommend this book as a valuable resource and perfectly written for the audience the author had in mind.
