“And see His glory
His caring love
Every time ‘…Only believe…’”

“Flame burning high And strong
Vibrant hope In my heart I believe
That God will do What is best
What is loving
It may
Or may not be
What I would like
It could be different
Or even better Than I imagine”

“Did Your power
Gush back in
From leaving Adam?
A gale
With a force That shook The ground
Around You
Making Heaven gasp From the intensity Of the impact
And did You feel it Return in You
With sadness In Your heart
Even though You knew It would happen”

Another excellent collection of poems by Louise Bélanger! This one, Your Words Your Love, feels like it is both poetry and evangelism/devotional as Louise explores various aspects of God and His effect and purpose. I loved that her words, which do often feel like my words, showcase His creation (both the beauty and our fall in it) as well as His power and sovereignty as well as His purpose in our lives and what a forgiven and grace filled life can be. As always, I enjoy the photographs that accompany the poetry as it takes the book to a whole other level. I enjoyed all of the poems, but “Did It?” And “Forty Times” were my two personal favorites. Well done, Louise!

I r eceived this book free from Netgalley and publisher BooksGoSocial in exchange for an honest review.

Review by Erica Jones @ Climb the Stacks

I finished Your Words Your Love by Louise Belanger and I have to say that it was very much a tearful experience for me. Each of the poems were thought provoking and emotional. A fantastic book! In between each poem is a photograph of a plant, tree or flower that is breathtaking.

Perfect for everyone who has a love for Christian poetry. A perfect gift for any time of year. I highly recommend it! 5/5

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Your words your love by Louise bélanger is the exact reason why I say I love short poetry collections. I just feel like I was able to learn so much, I received so much? From reading this. Bélanger’s voice is simple and defined, it has this wisdom and underlying peace that washed over me. An absolutely terrific tribute.

Once again, Louise Bélanger reaches out with her love and shares it with the world in her latest book Your Words Your Love. She has a unique way of drawing in the reader with poems that leave it to your imagination, weaving in the experiences of your lifetime to discover the deeper meanings.

A favorite of mine is "The Box," in which she describes those who have enclosed themselves (in a box), keeping them hidden from the rest of the world.

Excerpt from "The Box"

Unacceptable
They only wanted to see themselves No one else
They only wanted to focus on themselves No one else
They only wanted to care about themselves No one else

(Louise Bélanger. Your Words Your Love)

It describes people who only want what's best for themselves. They don't see or care about anyone else; it's always "me, me, me." I have known people like this, but it also made me pause. Am I like this? Or have I found the key that unlocks "The Box"? Just so you know, only you will know the answer.

This fourth addition to Louise Bélanger's "Your Words collection ~ Poetry and photography books" should be on your night stand where you can pick it up and find comfort and a strong loving faith ready to reach out and surround you.
