I loved it. Highly recommended.
All Eyes on You by Sam Frances is a dark, suspenseful thriller that explores the unsettling boundaries between fiction and reality. Set in the small, close-knit village of Fortbridge, the story revolves around bestselling crime writer Camilla Harton-Gray, who finds herself at the mercy of a stalker who seems to have taken inspiration from her own novels. As the lines between fiction and real-life blur, both Camilla and the investigating officer, DS Alice Washington, are forced to confront disturbing truths about the power of storytelling and obsession.
Camilla Harton-Gray, a celebrated crime novelist, is used to weaving chilling tales of murder and intrigue. But when she becomes the target of a stalker whose actions eerily resemble the crimes in her own books, the plot turns from fiction to nightmare. As the mystery deepens, Camilla realizes that someone is watching her every move, recreating scenes from her stories in real life.
DS Alice Washington, struggling with her own professional challenges, is assigned to the case. With the pressure mounting, Alice must navigate a web of cryptic clues, personal insecurities, and a mounting sense of danger as she races against time to uncover the stalker's identity. As the investigation progresses, Alice begins to doubt her own instincts, and it becomes increasingly clear that the stalker will stop at nothing to keep their identity hidden.
All Eyes on You is a gripping psychological thriller that will keep readers on edge from start to finish. Sam Frances blends the elements of crime fiction with the unsettling reality of being stalked by a fan who takes inspiration from your own work. With a well-crafted narrative, strong central characters, and a deeply atmospheric setting, this novel will appeal to fans of suspenseful mysteries and psychological thrillers.
The story expertly explores themes of obsession, identity, and the blurring of lines between fiction and reality, creating a tense, captivating reading experience. Though predictable in places, the novel delivers a satisfying conclusion that keeps the tension high until the final page.
A thrilling, atmospheric read that is sure to keep readers guessing until the very end. Perfect for fans of psychological suspense and crime fiction.
Headline is the best publisher.

This is a fresh and witty new voice in detective fiction. DS Alice Washington is a cynical and sardonic observer and commenter and this book made me laugh out loud multiple times. I loved her character and the cast of people around her.

The police procedural element felt authentic and detailed so it was no surprise to read that the author has worked with the police service.

I enjoyed the twisty plot and the way the cliffhangers and lingering questions were played out. This is an accomplished debut and I'm looking forward to more in the series.
