Description
An exotic pet shop where nothing is quite what it seems . . .
‘Wet and Wild’ is a pet shop on the Holloway Road in Islington, North London. Outwardly, the shop seems normal, if a bit rundown, but on the inside it becomes a glorious and other-worldly emporium, and its animal inhabitants have a habit of attracting press attention due to their talents and the mishaps they get into.
There is Cyril, the obese mind-manipulating cat, Tibetan terrier Bruno whose gecko pads allow him to climb walls and ceilings, and Freakin' Frank, a groovy, music-loving, dancing chameleon, who seems set to take Ibiza by storm. Shape-shifting pet shop owner Roderick has his own issues to deal with as he has two twins inside him, battling to exert their own personality over the other one. One twin is gay while the other one is straight, which can make relationships difficult! Roderick's shop assistant Brian has astonishing Dr Doolittle like tendencies, but can he maintain the shop while Roderick chases his true passion of acting? Probably not, if Ebenezer the goldfish has his way!

Science Fiction or Science Fact? Where does one end and the other begin? In the case of the Wet and Wild Pet Shop it doesn't really matter; you're in for a fascinating, crazy read!!
The animals who reside in Wet and Wild are exotic and unusual. But so are the people who interact with them. Ever speak with a goldfish, play mind games with a cat, watch a dog walk on the walls and ceilings of your home or get down and funky with a dancing gecko? Wet and Wild's the place to visit to experience it all!
At times funny and at other times grisly, David Ellis' story will have you pondering the imponderable and loving every minute of it. It may also make you think twice about the scaly or furry bundle of fun YOU have at home!!
I'm hoping that a sequel to this adventure is already in the works because I definitely want to visit Wet and Wild again!!
