When one wrong choice lands him in hot water, Josh Davis has no choice but to make a deal with the Devil. By signing the dotted line, he’ll never have to worry about being implicated in what happened that night.
Elizabeth Cain lost her parents two months before her sixteenth birthday. Per their will, to gain her full inheritance and attend the school of her dreams, she must first be married. When her adoptive mother approaches her with a solution to all of their problems, it’s an offer Elizabeth can’t refuse, even if she wants to. By agreeing to the arranged marriage, Josh and Elizabeth are thrust into a life much different than the ones they imagined.
Over the course of the next decade, they play their parts, make their required public appearances, and successfully fool everyone into thinking they’re madly in love… But not even the perfect ruse can put time on their side. With the terms of their contract coming to an end, Josh and Elizabeth are faced with deciding whether they were meant to stay together or end things once and for all. Elizabeth wants out, but Josh isn’t sure he’s ready to let go. When she invokes the Last Hoorah Clause of their contract, Josh has no choice but to join her on a weekend trip with her friends in Palm Valley—and maybe find a way to keep the woman he never expected to want in the first place.

‼️ ARC Review ‼️
Terms & Conditions by Jensen Parker - Book 3 in the Strangers Series
Terms & Conditions is a heartfelt contemporary romance that masterfully blends the complexity of an arranged marriage with the emotional depth of a second chance at love. As the third book in the Strangers series, it works beautifully as a standalone, making it a treat for both new readers and longtime fans.
The story follows Josh Davis and Elizabeth Cain, brought together by a decade-long contract meant to solve their individual problems. What begins as a practical arrangement transforms into a web of emotions, misunderstandings, and buried feelings. Elizabeth’s independence and resilience, paired with Josh’s flawed yet endearing determination, create a compelling dynamic as they navigate their unexpected connection.
What makes this book stand out is its nuanced portrayal of love—messy, complicated, and requiring effort, compromise, and courage. Themes of grief, self-discovery, and unexpected realities are woven seamlessly, making Terms & Conditions a must-read for fans of slow-burn romances and emotionally charged storytelling.
If you love second-chance romances with unforgettable characters and thoughtful storytelling, this book is for you. Josh and Elizabeth’s journey will stay with you long after the final page.

Synopsis
Josh Davis never expected to find himself in an arranged marriage, but when a single reckless decision backs him into a corner, signing a contract with Elizabeth Cain seems like the perfect escape. For Elizabeth, the deal is just as necessary—without it, she’ll lose her inheritance and the future she’s worked for.
But now, their deal is reaching its expiration date, and Elizabeth is ready to move on. The only thing standing in her way? Josh, who isn’t sure he wants to say goodbye. When she invokes the one last hoorah clause—a weekend trip to Palm Valley with friends before the marriage is officially over—Josh has one last chance to change her mind.
As secrets unravel and long-buried emotions rise to the surface, they must face the truth: Was their love always just an illusion, or did something real take root beneath the carefully staged romance?
My Thoughts
This book is the third book in the Strangers series, and while it can technically be read as a standalone—thanks to the helpful character summary at the beginning of the book—I would highly recommend reading Until Now and Strictly Business first. Not only are they both fantastic reads, but they also provide valuable background on the dynamics between the characters and the love stories of Nina & Nick and Finn & Michaela. Knowing their histories makes the interactions and relationships in Terms + Conditions even more compelling.
Now, onto Josh and Elizabeth’s story—I absolutely loved it. Their journey was deeply emotional, filled with heartbreak, resilience, and a slow-burning connection that kept me hooked from start to finish.
Josh’s backstory was gut-wrenching. After a hazing incident at Chadwick, he ended up in serious trouble—despite actually doing the right thing by helping a boy get to the hospital. Unfortunately, fear and bad timing meant he was at risk of being expelled, forcing his mother to step in and make a deal with Brina Villa to fix everything. Poor Josh—he was trying to do the right thing, but circumstances forced him into an impossible situation.
And then there’s Elizabeth, whose past is nothing short of harrowing. She barely survived an attempted murder at the hands of her own brother, suffering multiple stab wounds that left her in a medically induced coma. On top of that, her parents had already mapped out her entire future in their will, leaving her with no real control over her own life. The only escape? Getting married to access her inheritance early. Seriously, how much suffering does one person have to endure just to finally gain some control over their own life?
Despite everything, both Josh and Elizabeth were incredible characters. Josh was deeply protective, sometimes to a fault, especially when it came to Elizabeth, his sister Michaela, and even his father. He didn’t always express his love in the right way, but his intentions were always pure. Elizabeth, on the other hand, was remarkably strong and compassionate. After all she had been through, she remained a resilient, kind-hearted soul, handling every challenge—including the revelation about Brie—with grace. Their relationship was beautifully complementary, balancing strength and vulnerability in a way that made their connection feel incredibly real.
My one wish? I wanted more of Elizabeth’s POV throughout the book. The previous books in the series had multiple perspectives, and while Terms + Conditions gave us glimpses into different timelines, I felt like I didn’t get to know Elizabeth as deeply as I wanted to. A few more chapters from her perspective, particularly towards the end, would have made her character even richer.
That said, Jensen Parker has me completely on the edge of my seat after that final chapter! I am beyond thrilled that there will be a fourth book, and I really hope it’s about Alex Davis. Every time he was mentioned in the previous books, he brought such a fun and intriguing energy to the story. I cannot wait to read his book—I need it ASAP!
Terms & Conditions was an emotional, gripping, and beautifully written romance that kept me hooked from beginning to end. If you love marriage of convenience, slow burns, and deeply emotional love stories, this one is a must-read just like the other two books in the strangers series. Bring on book four!

true enemies to lovers to enemies to lovers again. plus, it’s in the guys pov which we hardly ever get. now, personally i have not read anything else from this series, nor this offer. so i went in kinda completely blind lol but was pleasantly surprised by this book.
i really loved how it starts with the way that the whole arranged marriage thing began. while also jumping back and forth in the timeline of Josh and Elizabeth’s story. It gave us the opportunity to fully connect and understand the characters throughout the story.
however, i wish that their actual happy ending happened earlier in the book instead of in the last 25% (‘: BUT… THAT ENDING??? has me hooked and ready for the next one
huge thank you to Netgalley and Jensen for allowing me to get an ARC of this book!

Terms & Conditions by Jensen Parker is a captivating romance that explores the complexities of an arranged marriage built on secrets and contracts. Josh Davis, forced into a deal to cover up a mistake, and Elizabeth Cain, bound by her parents’ will to marry for her inheritance, are thrust into a fake relationship that blurs the line between obligation and genuine affection. As they navigate a decade of pretending, the end of their contract forces them to confront their true feelings. With a perfect balance of tension, heart, and unexpected romance, this novel keeps readers hooked until the very last page.

This book was the first book written by Jensen Parker that I have had the joy to read, and I am glad I took the opportunity to request an ARC.this Nook was very enjoyable, Josh and Elizabeth had a connection that was evident and their journey was perfectly written, the ensign had me shook, the cliffhanger was definitely unexpected.
