Description

Poems Please takes readers on a poetic journey through John Pare’s reflections on nature, travel, wordplay, and love. The collection begins with Nature’s Realm, capturing the beauty of trees, flowers, and countryside scenes. It then moves on to poems inspired by his travels, both across the U.K. and abroad. Word- Play offers a playful take on a variety of subjects through witty and creative language. Finally, The Belovèd delves into the poignant emotions surrounding the end of his forty-four-year first marriage and his unexpected joy in finding friendship, laughter, and love once again with his second wife, Caroline.

Within these pages, you will encounter a wide range of themes and styles, from a deep passion for nature to an expressive sense of humour, as well as a heartfelt exploration of the turmoil of lost love and the thrill of new beginnings.

While his very first poems were written before qualification, John considers that his career in words and the regular drafting of some complex documents has made juggling words to get the right rhythm, and any rhyme scheme, easier.
