Thank you NetGalley and Burning Chair Publishing for the eARC.
Constable Sam Barrie is finally at the point in her career where she has enough experience under her belt that she can spend time on her police driving course and concentrate on trying to eventually join CID.
She catches the case of a man impersonating a police officer, who harrasses young women, some of whom disappear. As she gets closer to solving the case she's brutally attacked and left for dead.
This is great police procedural set in the 1970's, with a very likeable protagonist. And it's refreshing to have no cellphones in the story!
