Description
The extinction of humanity was never going to be a singular, apocalyptic event. It would happen in stages, a slow collapse we built ourselves, believing it was progress.
A novel of AI, power and the elites shaping our future – unless we change it!
AI was meant to liberate society. Instead, it replaces it. Industries vanish overnight, economies fracture, and the last remnants of human labour become obsolete. In the wake of mass unemployment and unrest, a new order emerges – an Empire of Elites who own the technology that dictates survival. The powerful remain. The rest are made irrelevant.
Nolan Scent, the world's most visionary tech leader, offers a solution: a neural chip that rewires human thought, pacifying the population to ensure stability in an era of total disruption. Governments hesitate, but as chaos spreads, the choice becomes inevitable: control or collapse.
Yet even extinction follows a pattern. Ethan Numan, a scientist trapped within the AI revolution, and Molly Scent, heir to the empire controlling it, uncover something hidden beneath the algorithms. The Equation. A final truth that doesn't just explain civilization's collapse, but proves it was inevitable… and dares to offer something more: a way through it.
This is not just a story of endings. It’s a story of what might come after – if we’re brave enough to change course.
