The first book in the 'Art Marvik' series is an excellent introduction to this new character from Pauline Rowson. Similar in style to her other 'Andy Horton' series, this book holds the reader with a fast paced story once again based in the Solent area. Art is a decent likeable man and I am already looking forward to the second in the series. My only complaint is there are always so many twists and turns in Pauline's books that I have never yet guessed 'whodunnit'! This book is very well written and with great attention to detail. Much research obviously goes into each of her books. As I am based on the Isle of Wight I particularly like being able to relate to stories based here, which includes a part of Silent Running.
