Description

This is the second book in the Secret Samurai time-slip romantic adventure trilogy.
The excitement and intrigue mount as we continue to follow the intermingling lives of Bebe, Kenji, Kai and Yoshi.
Bebe struggles to control her two lives; her own in modern Japan and the other she lives in the mind of Kai Matsuda, a samurai involved in the civil war of the 1860’s which ended the samurai system and gave birth to modern Japan.
Events take us further into a country fighting for its existence as outside forces try to compel Japan to open up to trade or be invaded by the West. There is great resistance and the war gets more vicious as samurai fight samurai.
Kai has to battle against his upbringing and all the values he holds dear as he sees his country disappearing into a vortex of violence and short-sightedness. He has to do something to help. Amongst it all, he cannot stop thinking of Yoshi…
Meanwhile Yoshi comes face to face with the realities of life in Kyoto, a city destroying itself in conflict.
In her own time, Bebe has to decide whether to tell Kenji of her secret life and risk losing him forever. A strange and menacing student joins her school and brings fear and danger into her modern life.
Secrets start to unfold…
