Description
This fascinating book from Lancashire author Ronald Evans describes an exciting, but unfinished, scientific adventure story. Greenglow & the search for gravity control begins with the story of the epic struggle made by scientists to wrest the secrets from nature of how to control the powers of electricity, magnetism and fluid and aero-dynamics.
“I was intrigued by the recurring patterns in the force fields of nature,” explains Ron Evans, “and wondered whether they hinted at where a breakthrough in understanding gravity might occur. Einstein’s theory of gravity is rather complex and I wanted to simplify the model, with lots of diagrams, to open up the subject to more people.”
The author persuaded BAE Systems to sponsor a small programme of research to investigate some ideas linked with gravity control.
This became known as Project Greenglow. In Greenglow, Ron Evans describes the attempts mankind has made over the years to understand gravity as well as looking at more recent experimental attempts to control it. Writing from his experience of working as an engineer in the aerospace industry, together with his knowlege of the analogues in nature, Ron Evans ensures that this book is the road map for scientists, engineers and general readers wanting to learn more about gravity and our search to master it.
Discovering nature’s secrets is an exciting, but unfinished story – there is much we still don’t know. From Newton to Faraday this book describes the quest by scientists to gain control of gravity and electromagnetism, the two long range forces of nature. One day the secret of gravity control will be discovered either by careful experimentation or, as is often the case, by stumbling across it by chance. Whether you are interested in science, Star Trek or UFOs, this book will certainly make an interesting read!

To paraphrase the publisher's description, this book is sold as being of interest to physicists, experimental research scientists and general public interested in the breakthrough in understanding of how to control gravity. I fall into the general public category and found that I was skipping sections of the book on a regular basis to avoid many complex mathematical formulae.
I think the author has cast his net wide in looking for an audience and in my case left me wondering whether the approach could have been improved using techniques found in books from Richard Feynman or Brian Greene. Of course, there is always a risk that this would have disappointed the physicists and experimental research scientists.
Overall the book addresses a fascinating subject with some interesting material.
